Maine woke up early to haul her luggages to her new home. Boxes and bags were piled on the left side of her new room, a medium sized studio type she got over the internet.

She immediately reserved for occupancy because of its cheap price and it is near her work place. She live alone so she doesn't mind if the room is as cheap looking as it's price, as long as she can afford the rent.

She works as a part time writer for a magazine and also food reviews for a website that is just starting. She needed two jobs to cover up for her expenses and send some to her family in the province. Her brother Dean is still studying so she had to help her mom with the expenses.

She doesn't have much furniture for her new home. She has the basics. A mattress to sleep, a small table, rice cooker and water heater at the kitchen counter and some kitchenwares. But she has a mini ref she won at a christmas raffle from the previous company she worked at. All she ever needed aside from the basics: a good internet connection, her old trusty laptop, food, and of course coffee! She would already last a lifetime with those.

As soon as she got all of her things inside, she immediately pulled out her single mattress on the floor and lay on it to rest.

She stretched her arm above her head reaching for the long curtain on her balcony door which is lazingly blown by a soft breeze. It is still before noon and the soft cool breeze and warm weather is making her want to drift to sleep.
But her stomach is against it. It is grumbling to hunger. It is almost noon after all.

She immediately propped herself up and decided to get to the nearest convinient store to grab a lunch.

She decided on some weird looking lasagna which she doubted on its taste at first but still went with it, along with 2 serving of yakult and a liter of bottled water.

She was about to fall in line to pay for her lunch when a tall, fair looking guy was suddenly already in front of the counter.

"Excuse me, I came here first." She retorted. Wag mo sabihing por que gwapo ka pagbibigyan kita..

"What are you saying? Kanina pa ko nakapila dito and it's my turn now."

She realized she's the one in wrong line. She immediately went to the end of the line and bowed her head in embarrassment.

Meng naman! Kailangan mo ba ipahiya sarili mo? Ugh!

After her payment she hurriedly left the store. She was run-walking and almost tipped along the way but finally got to the front of the apartment complex. She ran upstairs to her room door and slammed it shut.

Hay, it will never be safe sa outside world.

She had her lunch and sleep the day away.
