We had to forget. We couldn't let her sacrifice slow us down. We have the dragon her soul. We all stood silently, the faint sound of water droplets in the cave every now and again. "Chromahuman, step forth." We all looked at each other confused. He must have sensed our confusion because he explained it. "A Chromahuman is what you call a shapeshifter. So, please step forth." Emma walked towards the dragon. He gave her a pendant that flowed with the same holy light the dragon did. "This will allow you to take my form. It will also allow you to open a pocket dimension. Please, use it wisely." Emma put it on, unable to smile. "Thank you." She muttered. "As a small gift of my appreciation for coming all the way here, take these." He opened his own pocket dimension and grabbed some items. He gave me a glove, he said it would allow me to manipulate light and dark easier. He powered up Amanda's flames, but he didn't say how. He pulled out the book from my library. "How do you have that? I have it right here... oh." Mandy had lost the book we got. The dragon said this one was more in depth and helpful. He gave Caleb a bow, made of stone and grass. Finally, Lilly got a shield that matched her sword. Also, the dragon gave us a bottle of black goop. He told us that if we took care of it, we would have another friend, but he didn't say how to. "Now humans, leave this island, and travel to the places I marked in the book. You will find the power necessary to overthrow the kingdom of Otherworld. Please be safe." We all felt a little better, but still not one hundred percent. "Okay Mandy, what's the first stop?" Emma asked. "Well, it says to go to Moneto island first. Here's the map." She showed Emma the map, and then Emma clutched the amulet and transformed into the Elder Dragon, but a little bit  smaller. "All aboard!" We all hopped on, and readied for lift off. Mandy read out the directions, and Emma followed. The sunset put my mind off of ... the recent events ... and it felt good. A few hours later we found Moneto island. It was kind of like the one before, but it had way more forests and was a lot bigger. We landed on a small island on the outskirts of Moneto so we could make our camp. We all hoped we wouldn't get attacked again, but at least this time we are prepared. Sleep came easily, I was really tired after all. I woke up to a peaceful breeze. Mandy was reading in the book and writing down notes. Amanda had just returned with a basket of fruit from a tree. "I got the fruits you asked for Mandy, are you sure they're safe to eat?" "Positive. The book says right here that's we can." Amanda nodded and took a bite. "Oh my god! These things are delicious!" I walked over to take a bite. Wow. These are really good! Emma was flying around as a bird to see our surroundings. Caleb was learning how to shoot the bow, as well as practice aiming. So, I guess you could say it was peaceful. Once Emma came back she told us she saw a few towns, a few farms, but she also found something else. A huge arena surrounded by a city. Mandy said she read a page in the book about a Battle Royale on Moneto. "Yeah, so if you win you get this pendant, It let's you open a portal to Earth instantly, and vice versa. And also, the king always attends, that would be our chance to kill him." What if the rules have changed? It could be different this year." We all sat down and considered the pros and cons, be the verdict ended up being, we go to the Battle Royale and if the king isn't there, we try to win and just go home. If he is, we assassinate him. "Will it be that simple though?" Asked Amanda. "I'm not really sure, but we have to try." I replied. "It's settled! So, what are we waiting for?" Everyone stood up, except Lilly. "C'mon Lilly are you in?" I asked worryingly. "You really don't have any idea how powerful the king is, do you?" "I think we can do this! Just how good is he anyways?" "He once came to my island. There was a rebellion. It had one hundred thousand men, they all came from a neighboring island because my island was remote and the king wouldn't expect anything suspicious. Well, he found them. And killed all of them by himself." I looked around and everyone was freaking out big time. "I say we listen to the dragon and go to all the islands to gain power. Then, we might have a chance." "Lilly has a point. The king will surely execute us. So, let's go to the Battle Royale, then go to the islands and gain power!" Everyone cheered. "I literally just said that Jesse" "I guess I'm better at pep talks." Lilly looked at me annoyed and walked off. So, in preparation for the journey to the Battle Royale we all trained our asses off. We set up our own little tournament. The first rounds were as follows:
