Hermione
"Mama?" Came the little voice of Draco and I's daughter, Olivia.
"Yes baby?" I ask her softly, looking up from the picture of my parents.
"Where are Grama and Grampa?" Olivia asks.
"They're on a permanent vacation Liv," I respond, tears running down my cheeks.
"Are you okay?" She asks me.
"I'm fine. Why don't you tell daddy that dinner is ready?" I ask her.
she nods her head with a little smile, turning away and skipping down the halls. I sob lightly, turning my body away from the table and lean against it, covering my face with my hands. My parents, they're gone. They might not have known that I've existed, because I obliviated them to protect them, but I still remembered them. They were the sweetest most caring parents. And now they're gone. Dead. Killed in a school shooting where they were having parent teacher conferences with their new child. Her name is Miranda. Miranda made it out, but they didn't.
I feel someone wrap their arms around my waist, leaning me back against their chest. "Baby what's wrong?" My husband asks me.
I hand him the letter with shaky hands. He takes the letter, skimming through it quickly. His eyes show caring and love and understanding, but his face is still a mask. Tears are running down my cheeks, much faster.
"It's going to be okay," he whispers. He leans down and kisses my forehead softly, wiping the tears away with the pad of his thumb.
"They want Miranda to come and live with us, instead of going to an orphanage," I whisper to him.
His eyes widen, looking down at my pregnant belly. "So we're going to be taking care of three children?" He asks.
I sigh. "I guess so," I whisper. "She's also magical, muggle born just like me,"
He smiles slightly. What grade is she in?" He asks.
"2nd grade," I respond.
He chuckles slightly. "Olivia!" He yells.
I hear padding feet from upstairs, where Olivia pops her head out. "Yeah daddy? she asks.
"You know how you've always wanted a friend to play with?" He asks her.
"Yeah," she responds.
"Well, you're going to have one. You don't know her, but her name is Aunt Miranda, she'll be staying with us." He says, crouching down to eye level.
"I thought I didn't have any aunts?" She questions.
"Mommy just found out that I have a sister," I respond, putting my hand on Draco's shoulder.
Her eyes light up like Christmas trees. "Yay!" She giggles before slipping up to the kitchen table and picking out her food.
I chuckle sadly before turning to Draco. "I'm craving bacon." I tell him.
"On it," he says, smiling.
"Dipped in Carmel," we both say at the same time.
I giggle before waddling upstairs and waiting in the bedroom for the best food ever. That night, I cried. I cried in the arms of my husband. And it felt good to let out all of my emotions instead of holding them in.
