Hermione

"Draco?" I croak, my blurry chocolate colored eyes meeting sterling silver ones.

"Hermione!" Ron's excited and enthusiastic voice calls out.

"Can it Ronald. You threw me in harms way. You got me killed. Some weakling friend you are." I snap at my ex-best-friend.

Ron goes silent. "I didn't mean to send you in harms way. I was trying to deflect one of Bellatrix's killing curses. It flew me back against you and pushed you right into Dolohov's view. I'm sorry." Ron lies easily.

"Dolohov may have killed me. But you certainly were a part of it too." I grit my my teeth. "Draco...thanks." I nod my head towards him.

"Anytime." Draco seems breathless. "You...called me by my first name."

"Of course. You did save my life after all." I reply, kissing his dirty cheek. "And for that I thank you."

Draco blushes all the way up to his ears. "You're truly welcome." Draco smiles.

"Voldemort is dead, Hermione. He's dead." Harry sobs happily, relief washing over his features.

My smile never fades. I lean up and hug Harry even though there is a lot of pain in my lower back. I hold him tightly and then pull Draco into the hug. Draco doesn't hesitate to hug Harry and I both. And I'm thankful he didn't start anything. I look into Draco's eyes and get lost in them. Everything melts from my reality, his eyes are the moon and stars to me. His breath is my oxygen. And that's when I decide that it was a good idea to kiss him. I lean up and brush my lips to his, pressing them firmly against his. He goes rigged for a moment before melting me into him by kissing me back. He wraps his arms around my waist and holds me close to him. And that's when I realized I loved this man. Right then and there. I loved him. He'll always be my moon and stars and oxygen. Always.
