*Calum's POV*
"What's going on?" I asked walking into the main area of the tour bus, where I found Ashton and Michael jumping around like five year olds on Christmas morning and Luke sat their trying to act like he didn't want to join them but the big grin on his face betrayed him. Karly, our tour mom, walked in and clasped her hands together. "Okay boys you have this week to do whatever you want. Just don't break anything," and with that she walked out. My eyes widened and I looked at the boys with a smirk. "You know what that means?" They nodded. '
"TO THE PARK WE GO!!!" we screamed in unison.
Luke grabbed the football (soccer for the Americans), Mikey got water bottles and Ash and I took the duffel bags with our towels and extra change of clothes after we sweat it out. We said goodbye to Karly and our bus driver, Nate and jogged to the park. "Is this it?" Ash asked and I grinned nodding viciously. "Careful Cal, your head might fall off," Michael said running passed me and to the nearest oak tree resting down the bottles.
"Let's do this," Ashton yelled, bumping chests with Michael. "Mashton and Cake again?" "Don't sound so excited Lucas," I mocked hurt. It's on bro.
*Alice's POV*
"Good morning Mother," I flashed a smile and sat down opposite her at the breakfast table. She looked up at my attire and nodded in approval. I wore a pleated skirt that stopped above my knees, a white button up and black oxfords and knee high socks adorned my feet. A tight sock bun in my hair and small studs in my ears made me look like I jumped out of a preppy catalogue for a European boarding school.
"Good morning dear. Tea?" she gestured to the China on her right. "Yes please," she offered a small smile and poured some hot water into my cup and carefully placed a tea bag. "How was your night? Sleep well?" she always asks the same questions. I nodded. "I only got two hours because of my French. I want my languages in tip top shape,"
"That's what I love to hear!" my father's voice bellowed as he entered the dining room. Placing a kiss on my forehead, he sat down and began buttering his bread (is that even a word xD). "How's the company doing, Charlie?" my father's face beamed. "Quite well actually, the stocks are-," and that's where I zone out every morning.
Every morning we have the same boring conversations, in the same boring dining room about the same boring jobs my parents happen to have. I hate to complain about my life because I live in one of the biggest estates in the city and my parents could stop working right now and have enough money for the next five generations, but sometimes change is needed.
"Excuse me?" I asked as politely as possible. "Yes my princess," "Holly asked if I could join her for a little stroll this morning. I haven't been out in a while and I-" mother raised her hand, a signal for me to stop. "Of course you can! You've been working way too hard! Go enjoy yourself but make sure you're home in time for evening tea," I smiled and nodded, excusing myself from the table.
I walked up the marble staircase and to ny room. I picked up my Chanel shoulder bag and put my phone, lip gloss and wallet inside and headed back downstairs to find my parents with the Henry's. "Good morning Alice," Mrs. Henry greeted me with a smile. "Good morning ma'am," she smiled at me. Mr. Henry gave me a small wave and continued talking to my father about the possibility of joining their businesses.
I walked up to Holly and smiled evilly, earning an eye roll. She linked her arm with mine and we headed toward the front door. "Be safe girls," our mother's yelled behind us. "We will," was our response. We passed the front gate, saying our good mornings to the workers and headed off into the direction of the neighbourhood park.
"So Alice, we going to the bonfire tonight?" I laughed. "Hell yeah!!!" I looked at her outfit and scoffed. The only thing that kept us from being twins was our difference in skin tone. I did my best cocky British accent. "Oh well don't you look dashing Ms. Henry," she laughed and put her nose in the air. "Why thank you Ms. Matthews. You look swell yourself. Don't mind my nose and the fact that I look like a constipated pig," we started making pig noises.
"Now that is no way two respectable, high class young women are supposed to behave," Holly flipped him off. "Go away Max," our curly headed best friend came up behind us and put his arms over our shoulders. Classic white button up, black dress pants with matching black shoes and socks on his feet and a loose tie dangling from his neck. "You know you enjoy my presence Holly," she was about to raise her finger again but we saw a car coming in our direction.
Max removed his hands from our shoulders, straightened his tie and fixed his hair while Holly and I tried to remove all creases from our clothing, all in less that 20 seconds. The car pulled up beside us and the window rolled down. "Good morning Ms. Matthews, Ms. Henry and Mr. Schmidt," we waved and the driver continued their journey. We sighed in relief and kept walking. "I hate having to put up this 'good girl' thing," I unbuttoned the first three on my top as we neared our park bench. "I feels you girl," Holly began removing her shoes.
"So what's the plan guys? Just laze around or are we gonna wreck havoc in the city?" Max sat between us. I crossed my arms and stared at him. "First of all, we're girls not guys and secondly, we don't 'wreck havoc' we cause chaos that no one can trace back to us because of our good-two-shoes image," Holly fist pumped and hollered.
"I wanna climb this tree," Max commented staring up at the big oak tree providing necessary shade from the blazing sun. "Let's do it then," Holly jumped up and stood next to the tree trunk, tucking the ends of her skirt into her tights to give her more leg room. Max stood next to her and they began scaling the side of the oak. "Why the hell not?" I muttered standing up.
I put my hands on the base of the trunk and pulled myself up, when a sudden force knocked my down, causing me to lose balance and topple over. "Alice!" Holly screeched jumping down with Max right behind her. I groaned and sat up.
"See what you did Michael?!" a voice sounded behind me. Looking up I saw a boy bend down to take the ball that knocked me down. "I'm so sorry," he helped me up. "It's okay," I brushed off my backside and smiled. "I'm Calum," "Alice," he smiled. "Well Alice, I'm sorry that my friend is an idiot that doesn't listen to my warnings and ended up knocking over a gorgeous girl like you," he took my hand and kissed it before running back to his friends.
"What wad that?" Max, Holly and I asked in unison. His Australian accent clear and voice raspy from all the running around. "I have no idea," was my response.
*Calum's POV*
"Michael don't do it!" I warned. "You night hit someone!" he laughed. "Shuddup Hood. I got this," he set the ball down in front of Ash, whose arse was sticking out, the target. Michael aimed and kicked the ball as hard as he could. The ball sailed straight over Ashton's head and straight for a group of friends climbing the big oak tree. "I can't look," I muttered, covering my eyes.
"Alice!" a voice screeched. I opened my eyes and saw a girl and guy jump down from the tree and the other girl laying on her back. I sprinted toward them. "See what you did Michael?!" he hung his head as I punched him. I took up the ball and extended my hand to the girl, which she accepted.
"I'm so sorry," I pulled her up and helped her stand. She brushed herself off. She smiled at me and I felt a little confident. "I'm Calum," "Alice" what a nice name, I thought. "Well Alice, I'm sorry that my friend is an idiot that doesn't listen to my warnings and ended up knocking over a gorgeous girl like you," I took her petite hands in mine and kissed it before running back to the boys.
"Your welcome," Michael said. I looked at him, confused. "If it wasnt for me you wouldn't have gotten to speak to that gorgeous girl," I scratched the back of my neck and looked down. "Aww he's blushing," Luke pinched my cheek and cooed. "Whatever," I slapped his hand away. "Let's go get food or something," Ashton suggested. We cheered and headed for the bathrooms to freshen up.
