It's been eight months since Beacon's fall. Our young heroes have returned to their old academy, just to check up on things.
Nora, Ren, Jaune, and Ruby went their separate ways.
The silver warrior walked along the forest, making her way up a cliff, which held a perfect view of Beacon Academy.
She needed to make her head as it was overwhelmed with memories and endless thoughts from these past few months.
Ruby Rose, she stood on a cliff. Looking toward Beacon as it recovers from the hell it went through.
She took a moment to inhale the fresh air.
Something was on her mind. Someone was on her mind that she couldn't shake. Their memories embedded in her head forever.
Her eyes were clouded in darkness; her cheerful smile turned into a frown. She had been walking with a heavy heart for months.
She looked at the sky, picturing the clouded and smoky atmosphere of that day.
But one of her many memories continued to haunt her. The fight between the partners in crime.
The plane.
Where she fought two famous criminals.
Her enemies: Neo and Roman.
They night he perished, and the silent pink huntress vanished.
Ruby gritted her teeth and clenched her hands into a fist. Her nails were digging into the skin of her palms. She was digging in with her nails so deep into the skin they began to cause pain, but she ignored it as they didn't bleed.
"I could have saved you."
"I couldn't save you."
"I d-didn't save you."
"I l-let you d-die."
Her silver eyes were shut tight as she tried to keep herself from crying, but every waking moment more and more began to form, threatening to spill any second.
"And now you're g-gone."
She felt like she was losing herself. Her strength began to leave her body. Her legs were growing weaker by the second as this pain became worse. Letting her body fall to the ground and cry herself a river.
"You are gone forever."
She whispered to herself."I never left little red."
She never turned so quickly to the sound of someone's voice.
Her tears fell, rolling down her cheek before falling into the grass filled ground.
"Well and alive Red."
She was crying but laughing, sadness, relief, and overall pure joy to her broken heart.
Bringing herself up from the grass floor she cried tears of joy.
She ran away from the cliff side, tears falling through the air the closer she got to him.
He smiled faintly at the red girl, opening his arms.
She ran to him and leaned forward. Her arms stretched out to catch him.
Only she caught herself.
There was no one to catch her but herself.
She fell to her knees as the tears fell freely. The pain she was feeling was unbearable for her heart. Her already shattered heart.
Her nails dug into the fabric of her sleeves. Leaning her head down to her knees, slowly falling into a dark abyss.
The world seemed to collapse into darkness.
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry!"
"I'm so sorry!"
She sobbed. Crying alone in the green forest. No one was there. No man stood to greet her.
She missed him so much; he was everything.
Although they were destined to fight and destroy one another, they fell in a forbidden love that no one expected.
But they had to fight, to pretend, no could know the truth about them.
But the cost was too much. He didn't deserve any of this; his ending wasn't right.
In the end, the fault lay upon her head,
She would never forgive herself
And never forgive him.
Ruby looked up at the sky with eyes clouded with tears; her cheeks stained from crying, puffy and red.
She tried to speak in between cries.
"Y-you yo-"
"You p-prom-."
"You promised you'd never leave!"
