Stiles Stilinski was not aware of the consequences that came with falling in love with Y/N Y/L/N. Nor was she aware of the consequences that came with falling in love with him. Neither was prepared for the romance, the passion, the lust. Neither was prepared for the anger, the jealousy, the danger.

They definitely were not prepared for just how much they would grow to love each other. How much it would destroy them both.

Or maybe, just maybe, that destruction was a good thing.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" You watched as the boy in front of you lent down to collect the textbooks on the floor. Neither of you had seen the other coming when you'd turned the corner, immediately slamming into each other, and as a result, your books were scattered across the floor.

"It's okay, honestly. Don't worry about it."  As the boy stood up, you studied him. He was cute, you couldn't deny that. Honey colored eyes that you feared it would be possible to drown in if you looked into them for too long, a constellation of moles that looked like they had almost been painted on, porcelain skin that could put any piece of china to shame, and a turned up nose combined with a signature smile that made you weak at the knees.

"There you go," he said, handing you your books back to you, "I haven't seen you around here before."

"Yeah, well that's what tends to be the case when you're new. Thanks, by the way."

He shrugged.

"Don't mention it. So you're new, huh? Well I believe that makes me your first new friend, I am the first person you've met right?"

You nodded. If this guy wanted to be your first friend at Beacon Hills High School, you damn well were going to let him be.

"Okay, good. I'm Stiles, Stiles Stilinski," he held out his hand for you to shake, one which you gladly took. It was warm, and the moment he let go, you instantly craved his skin back on yours. Where you felt it belonged.

"Y/N, Y/L/N."

"Nice to meet you, Y/N. Where are you headed?"

"Um, Chemistry, it's that way, right?," you pointed in front of you, causing a light chuckle to emerge from Stiles.

Stiles. Odd name. But a nice one. One that definitely suited the boy in the plaid shirt in front of you.

"I'm afraid not, it's back the way you came. Come on, I'll show you."

You followed Stiles as he led you through the corridors, a light breeze ruffling his chocolate brown hair. It looked like feathers, soft to the touch, and each strand one of perfection.

"Here we are, Chemistry."

"Thanks."

"I guess I'll see you later, New Friend."

You smiled at what would soon become a nickname for you, one that made your heart flutter like the wings of a thousand butterflies.

"Yeah, I guess you will."

As Stiles turned to walk away from you, his hand lightly brushed yours. Shock-waves swam through your veins, a spark of electricity humming within your skin.

Maybe a new school wouldn't be so bad.

Little did Y/N know, that that day, the day she first met Stiles Stilinski, he'd felt the shock-waves too. He'd felt every spark of electricity that she did. When he'd first seen her, really seen her, he'd fallen for the color of her eyes, the way her hair fell over them, the lilting sounds of her voice.

He hadn't seen her until the day after. The moment he saw her, he asked her out, and words would never be able to describe the pure elation he felt when she'd said yes, and pressed a light kiss against his cheek.

The date, of course, went perfectly. It was cliche, ending with a good night kiss, but neither minded. Y/N and Stiles were now a couple.

A bond had been formed between them. And for the moment, it seemed unbreakable.

Maybe it was.

For the moment, there wasn't a single thorn among the roses.
