Pride. That was what Stiles felt as he walked through the corridors. He was going to be part of the FBI, away from Beacon Hills, away from the supernatural and any threats that came with it. Of course, he missed his dad and his friends, but this was a new start. A stepping stone to living an almost normal life. To being the hero.

He knew exactly where he was going, which made a change. But clearly, the girl just a few feet away from him didn't. She stood there in a crisp white shirt similar to his own, a black pencil skirt smoothly pressed, her hair brushed in such a way that not a single strand was out of place. She was pulling what appeared to be a timetable out of a brown satchel with a Batman badge sewn onto it, looking fretfully at it. She looked like she belonged here, and Stiles almost felt saddened when she ran a hand through that perfectly styled hair in worry.

"Excuse me, miss. You okay?"

She almost jumped at the sound of his voice, snapping out of the world of anxiety that had captured her. She turned to face him, giving Stiles a proper look at her. She had a way about her that screamed FBI at him, with vibrant eyes that could look into his soul if she looked hard enough.

Stiles thought she was stunning. There's no way she could be an intern here.

When Y/N walked through the doors of the FBI Academy, she knew she didn't belong there. She was there for all the wrong reasons for a start. Everyone else probably wanted to make a difference, help save some lives, catch some bad guys. She was only there for one reason. To find him.

She knew she didn't exactly look the part either. She hadn't had the chance to iron any of her clothes, which was obvious from all the wrinkles in her shirt, and the skirt was too tight. Her hair was a mess too just to top it all off. And the bag was also a problem. If you're going to join the FBI, you don't exactly start by expressing all your interests at once.

And now she didn't know where she was going. For God's sake, what a way to make a good first impression.

When she heard the boy ask her if she was okay, she nearly jumped out of her skin. She had turned to face him, and her first thought that there was no way he was an intern. From the way he was dressed to the way his hair was perfectly styled, he had to be an agent.

"Um, no, sorry. I just don't know where I'm going."

"You're an intern too?"

As he moved closer, Y/N got a look at his eyes. They were almost indescribable. Perfect round orbs of honey and caramel that would have the ability to warm you even on the coldest of nights. Moles decorated his face, and Y/N could identify patterns through them that made her want to smile.

"Yeah, I am."

Stiles felt himself smile on learning that she was in exactly the same boat as him. Maybe she would be his first friend, maybe something more in the long run. He mentally slapped himself. She was too pretty for him.

"Maybe I can help you then. I'm Stiles, by the way."

"Y/N. Thanks."

Y/N. God, even her name was stunning. It suited her perfectly. Stiles pointed out the direction that they had to go in, and found himself walking beside her listening to her rambling. It was endearing, and he found it cute when she stopped talking, starting to blush and apologise.

Stiles was like something out of a dream. Even though Y/N was only here for one purpose, she found herself hoping that a friendship would form with her fellow intern. Maybe even more. She mentally slapped herself. He was too pretty for her.

She continued to ramble on about everything and nothing, and when she finally noticed what she was doing, she felt stupid, a blush rising to her cheeks. It was just like her to do this, always making a fool of herself in front of guys she found attractive.

"I'm so sorry, I'm rambling."

"It's okay, honestly. And for the record, I love Batman."

Y/N smiled at that. God, he was perfect. So she let him talk next, knowing that getting to know each other would form the base of a good friendship.

"So, Stiles, where are you from?"

She didn't expect the next words to come out of his mouth. They made her blood run cold, and her jaw drop.

"Beacon Hills."
