"Who is going to room with who?"
"I'm with Jungkook," Taehyung chimed.
"I'll be with Yoongi," Jimin said, walking up behind me and wrapping his small fingers around my wrist.
What kind of idiot comes to somebody's house without an extra pair of clothes? I've had to be sitting here staring at him with my sweatshirt on and I wanted to smash his face into the ground for making it look so much better on him than it ever did on me.
Goddamn.
Sighing, I rubbed at my exhausted face and stood up from the floor. My mother had come back home after dropping Ryom off and had wished us a nice rest. She even set Jimin up a spot to sleep - but I wasn't going to let him leave my room. In the meantime, Jimin wouldn't shut up about Ryom.
"Are.. You going to date her?" he asked after I had stood up.
"And what if I do?"
"I thought we needed to focus on our career first. We don't need backlash or hate and she probably doesn't want that publicity," Jimin admitted, making me furrow my brows and pull the sleeves of my shirt down.
"Since when are you my manager, Jimin? You're like a co-worker, okay? You can't tell me what I can and can't do. I don't need your advice, either." Scratching at the side of my neck, I move to my bed and push the covers back while Jimin stood up.
"Fine. Sorry," he muttered. I turned around to look at him and the look on his face made my heart feel heavy.
Why must he make me feel this way?
"Why are you so obsessed with her? Do you want her for yourself?"
"God no, Yoongi!"
"Then get over it," I said, watching him flinch at the pain of my words.
"Easier said than done."
"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked, squinting my eyes at him.
"I don't know, Yoongi! Okay? I don't know. I'm sleeping where your mom planned on me sleeping. Have a nice night," Jimin said, turning his torso and heading for the door.
Before he could twist the doorknob, I made my way up behind him and extended my arm over his shoulder so I could press my hand against the door, preventing him from opening it.
"Do you really want to know if I'm going to date her?" I whispered against his neck, my chest pressing against his back.
"I.. I guess," he whispered back, his hand dropping from the doorknob.
"No."
"... No.. What?"
"No. I'm not going to date her."
"What? Why?" He asked, now turning around to face me, our faces dangerously close but I didn't care. I got to see how deep his eyes were.
"You need to promise not to tell anybody. Including the members," I warned, getting closer to him to the point he pressed his back up against the door.
"Why? Did you kill somebody?" He asked in all seriousness. It honestly made me growl under my breath.
"No, you idiot. Do you really not know? I'm not going to date her. I'm never going to date her because I don't like girls," I finally admitted, feeling a huge ass weight lift off my shoulders but the look on Jimin's face became blank and then... Sad? Was he homophobic? He just stood there, staring at me with some weird look on his face. "Talk," I commanded.
"Hoseok will be very glad to hear that you like him back, then," Jimin blurted out, quickly opening and escaping past the door before I could say or do anything.
I just stood there.
Staring at the door.
Fuck.
