"Yoongi, you looked really handsome in that video."
"Not as handsome as you, Jimin."
"You're right. You were way more handsome," Jimin said in a whisper.
"Why'd he leave?"
"Hoseok.. I.. Can I talk to you about something?" I asked, not being able to keep eye contact on him as I sat back down on the couch. The spot next to me felt really empty.
"Yoongi? Wants to talk? I mean, of course," Hoseok said with a chuckle, but I just fidgeted with my sleeve.
"You know how I don't like girls?"
"Yes," he nodded.
"I told him."
"Jimin?"
"No, Santa Claus... Yes, Jimin. Who else?"
"I had to make sure!" Hoseok said, fake punching me in the shoulder.
"He.. Reacted iffy at first but then I think I found out that he might like boys, too," I said, slower than usual. Hoseok just stared at me and blinked.
One beat.
Two beat.
Three beat.
"I swear to god, if everybody in our damn group is gay, I'm going to scream," he finally said, leaning back against the couch. I just shook my head and looked towards the door, almost hoping it would open and Jimin would come in.
God, I was an idiot.
But what did he expect?
The others in the group would be uncomfortable. We could be bashed. Lose our career we worked so har - "Did you tell him you love him?"
"What?" I asked, furrowing my brows.
"Oh, don't play silly with me, Yoongi. I can tell you're a little soft for Jimin." I just shook my head again and turned away, pursing my lips.
"Doesn't matter. Long story short, he was jealous that you're here and I told him to get over it, so he left. Too bad so sad that I payed a little bit more attention to you then him."
"I don't control your decisions or what you say, but if Jimin stormed out of here, then you probably really did hurt him with your words. He's the nicest boy you could ever meet. You two have bumped heads plenty recently. Good luck trying to not have tension between you two when working."
"That's all he'll ever be to me though. Just a guy I work with."
"He's family. We are all one family."
"Okay, well I'm not into incest."
"Yoongi.."
"What?"
~~~
Mother was confused when she saw Hoseok instead of Jimin.
I told her that Jimin said to tell me to tell her goodbye just to make her happy.
"If you hurt his feelings, mister.." She said, wiggling her finger at me because she knew it wasn't like Jimin to just leave.
"He did more than that," Hoseok said, coughing after but also grunting when I hit his shin under the table.
My mother just looked at the two of us with a confused look on her face, gaining a chuckle from mister sunshine (hoseok).
"Why couldn't it just be cloudy?" I whispered, looking down at my dinner.
"Because you are the cloud yourself," Hoseok said. I shot him a look, but only for a moment when I heard both mine and his phone go off at the same time. I got up from the table, walking over to the counter where I left my phone. There, I saw a text message light up on my phone from my manager:
Jimin has been in a car accident. We need everybody back at the dorm ASAP. I don't care how you get here, just do it safely and quick.
I slowly looked up from my phone, looking over at Hoseok who was also looking back at me.
Shit.
