The question hit me. Will we? I couldn't respond.

The tension grew high after about 1 hour of walking. We finally reached an old house. Beth looked relieved when I took a glance at her. I took my crossbow out as I slowly opened the door. She looked over my shoulder and I looked around.
Seems safe.
She started to walk upstairs as I looked in the kitchen.
