Chapter 10

You woke up to Andy shaking you. "It's 7:00!!!! Court starts in 1 hour hurry up and get ready!!!!!" Andy said to you. So you jump out of bed and get to the bathroom to shower. You get into the shower and you start to think. 'what is going on?' and 'why is court so early?' but as you think about your questions you answer them really fast. Well you start to sing They Don't Need To Understand by Andy Black while you but the shampoo in your hair. You wash it out and put conditioner. After you finish with conditioner you washer your body and face. After everything you get out just to see Andy standing outside the door. "Hurry and do your makeup, hair, and get dresses we have to leave in like 30 minutes" He told you. You just nod and hurry to your room and put on a black high low skirt and a plain black shirt with your choker and brackets. You then start to blow dry your long black emo hair and when you finish it you just brush it really fast. You just put your hair into a side braid and straighten your emo bands. You finish and put on your makeup. When you were putting on your eyeliner Andy comes in and almost makes you stab your eye. You then notice he is in only underwear but he starts to get dressed and you carry on doing your eyeliner and then eye shadow. Then when you finished you just look at Andy trying to tell him your ready. But as he is putting on his shoes he says "Well are you going to wear shoes or what?" with a laugh. You laugh to and but on some all black Vans. You then grab a little black purse and put in some eyeliner, earphones, charger, lipstick/chap stick, keys, phone and your wallet. "Why are you bring a charger?" Andy asked with a smirk. "Well my phone didn't charge so I kind of need it" you answer with sass in your voice. After that you go into the bathroom to put lotion and make sure you look good. "Ok, I'm going to check on Inna and Jake to see if they're ready to go" Andy said as he walks into their room. He leaves and within 5 seconds comes back with a Jake and Inna. Inna had a black, white, and grey dress with black heels while Andy and Jake were wearing all black suits with black Vans. They all looked so nice you felt like you were under dressed but there was no time to change. You follow the line of people out the door into Jake's car. Jake drives while Inna is shotgun and Andy and I are in the back. As soon as Jake turns on the car my ears are blasted with Poison by Asking Alexandria. "Are you trying to make us deaf or something? Turn down the radio." Andy said which made me and Inna laugh. "Sorry" Jake said and he starts to dive to the court room. You just sit there with your legs crossed and your sweaty fingers tapping. Then you feel a hand on yours so you look to see who it was and it was Andy. "Why are you so nervous?" he asked you. "Well maybe because we will see my dad and the last like I saw him he almost killed the both of us." You tell him. "Oh well that makes sense." He tells you as he goes and holds your hand. When he held your hand you felt more safe so your hands weren't sweaty any more. You guys arrive at court 5 minuets before the time it starts. Jake find a parking spot really close to the doors and you guys get out and start walking to the court. You open the door just to see a woman sitting behind a desk she then looks up to you guys and says "Hello how may I help you?" "Hey we have a court case at 8:00" Jake tells her. "Oh ok well let me shoe you to the room no one is in there right now." she said as she leads you guys into a room. Its so weird being in a court room for a day you wished about everyday of your life. The funny thing is that no matter how much your dad abused you he was still your father and you still cared about him. You get lost in you thoughts you don't even realize that Andy is trying to talk to you. "(y/n) are you ok" Andy said as he shakes you to help you snap out of your mental state. "Yeah I'm fine when does this thing start?" You ask him. "We are just waiting on your father and the judge." He says as he looks around at everyone. You just nod and get ready to see your dad. "What are those" Andy says as he points at your scars on your upper thigh. You decide to tell him the truth because you didn't want to lie to him "Well before I found music and even then about 1 year ago I tried to stop cutting." He just looked at you with shock. "But you seem so happy does anyone know" He asked you. "No and if they did I just blamed my dad." You respond trying to be as truthful as you can. "Promise me you will never do it again." He tells you as you see his eyes start to water. "I promise" you tell him even though you are unsure of the answer you gave him. "Why did you start to cut?" He asks. "Well I would tell my school about what my dad did to me in middle school but they just though I wanted the attention. So then when high school came around I just gave up on telling the school and I didn't want my friends to know. You don't just go up to your friend and say 'Hey you know my dad abuses me' no you can't just do that. So the only thing left to turn to was the razor. I much rather feel physical pain rather then emotional pain, and as soon as the blade cuts my skin I just feel numb so I can't feel anything." You tell him not realizing you started to cry. You look up at Andy and see a tear go down his cheek. "Young kids come to me with sad stories and how they want to stop cutting and it always breaks my heart. But I think it might be different emotionally when the person that cuts is also the person you love." Andy tells you but just before you can say anything the judge and your father walks in. The judge says "Good morning everyone now I will like to start right away so (y/n) can you come to the stand please."
