A bluenette, a brunette, a blonde, and a black haired teen walked out of the woods towards the men in the gray and black and red suits. Kris was rubbing his head tenderly, and Sam was standing right besides Artemis, who was half-carrying, half-dragging a half-conscious Lizzy. The men rushed to the teen's sides, not caring about their physical conditions.

"Well, how did it go?" They demanded, ignoring the bruises and scrapes everywhere on their bodies. Kris chuckled.

"Good, I guess," He said, smiling in his usual way that meant that everything was alright.

"And the dinosaurs...?"

"Gone." There was a gasp in rage from the men.

"You failed!" The men yelled in rage.

"Yes," Kris said, "but we got something out of it."

"And that is...?"

Kris' irises turned a dark purple. "Our freedom." And with that, they all morphed into their dino forms. The men each took a step back in fear.

"Capture them!" They yelled, one began to get out a small remote and press buttons on it.

With a scoff, he pointed it at the advancing dinosaurs, pressing a large button. The dinosaurs continued to advance, giving the one with the remote a shock. He repeatedly tried to press the button, not getting anywhere. With a fearful gasp, he yelled, "They have removed their collars!" He then tossed the useless remote to the ground as another man sprinted to the vehicle. The man in the van slammed his fist on a button. A huge net launched from the front of the vehicle, flying towards the injured dinosaurs.

Before the net could ensnare the dinosaurs, an enormous green pterodactyl burst from the trees, and snatched the net from the air, tossing it down to the men. They were almost instantly tangled up, and the pterodactyl and injured dinosaurs fled to the forest, laughing. They met up with the rest of the Dino Squad, and turned back into humans, still laughing. They caught their breath, giddy with relief and the idea of freedom.

With a nod, they all went towards where they had stashed the Dino Van.

After the nine teens piled in, the four bruised ones began to notice that their wounds were much less superficial than they first realized. Kris began shifting uncomfortably.

"You know, I don't have all that many regrets in life. But one thing I really regret right about now, was intentionally falling face first out of a tree in order to intentionally hurt myself," he groaned, rubbing his head again.

"And," Artemis said, irritation lining her voice, "allowing him the privilege to punch me." Her voice seemed to be a low warning, and her eyes flashed red at him. He gulped and smiled worriedly. Once they had revealed their plan, Kris had been excited and volunteered to go first. He, then, immediately whipped around and punched Artemis in the face, making her fly back. Sam, luckily, had seen this coming and had caught her from flying backwards into a tree. She had smiled up at him and then glared her stare of death at Kris.

"Well, have a bit of patience. We'll get you to the lighthouse, get you all patched up, and figure out accommodations for the night," Fiona, who was driving, said over her shoulder without removing her eyes from the road.

"Quick question, if I may," Artemis began, earning the attention of everyone in the vehicle. "Why'd you name this thing the 'Dino Van'? I mean, it's a fine name and all, but why that name specifically?"

"Well, Buzz and Max voted for the Dino-mobile, but they got outvoted," Roger explained. The rest of the drive was filled with similar small talk, learning a few things about the Dino Squad, but not even scraping the surface of the rest of the group and their backstories.
