Rain pouring down the old shingle houses. Drops of rain dripping from the edges of the gutters. It made a sound like fingernails tapping wood. You could hear the rain splashing on the metal staircases in the little alley behind the hotel. "We really need to figure out how to get some money. Good thing the hotel is already paid for." Mona walks over to the window to watch the rain fall. "I feel like running in the rain," Mona whispers quietly to herself.

"Hey, about the other day.." Hee Joon starts. " You had said you bumped into this guy name Ivan? And something about him looking like Ken?" Hee Joon had totally forgotten about the commercial. "So, what happened?" Mona shakes her head and continues to watch the rain fall. Her finger pressed onto the glass following the rain drops. "Ivan.. I mean this guy named Ivan, looks just like Ken." Mona turns around, now facing away from the glass. Mona sighs, "I bumped into him and didn't know what to do so I ran off. I didn't want to believe that there is actually another person out there that looks just like Ken. I just kept running and somehow I ran out to oncoming cars and that's when I bumped into you."

" So... did anything happen?" Hee Joon asked curiously. Mona steps away from the window and walks over to the couch to slouch and curl up in the corner. "I can't believe I actually saw someone that looked just like him." Mona repeated herself." Hee Joon had a distressed look on his face. "So what happened?" Hee Joon asked again. Mona mumbles. "What? I didn't hear what you said." Hee Joon asked while losing his patience. Mona mumbles again, this time just slightly louder. "Can you look up and tell me?" Hee Joon shouts with an annoyed tone. Mona looks up. "Nothing much, we just bumped into each other and I kinda... I mean, and I kinda ran off." Hee Joon clearly showed a lack of understanding. He ignores Mona and walked to the computer. Mona walks over and picks up the remote. Switches on the tv and there goes the commercial playing. "That commercial is everywhere!" Mona walks away leaving the commercial playing. " I'm going to go take a walk outside." Mona walks over and puts on her shoes and grabbed her sweater." I'll be back in a little." Mona runs out.

The sky so clear and blue. " One minute it rains and another minute it's so nice" Mona mumbles to herself. The sound of cars passing by so loud and disturbing. Mona looks down on the floor and saw a piece of rock. Then she starts kicking it. Mona kicked the rock so hard, it hit this blue car that was parked right in front of the bus stop. Mona quickly runs over to the car to see if the rock had done any damages to the car. "What are you doing?" A loud deep voice appeared behind Mona. Mona jumped and quickly bowed down while saying sorry.

" I'm so sorry... I..I was just.." Mona stutters still with her head down. " Those shoes, I saw them before. " Mona thinks to herself. "Hey!" Mona looks up and continues to say sorry. " It's Ivan." Mona thinks. "You're ..." Ivan takes a step closer to Mona. "Hey, it's you. Are you getting yourself in trouble again? Why were you all over my car like that?" Mona looks away from Ivan. "No.. well... actually, yea. I mean I hope not.

That's why I was over there trying to see if there any scratches or dents." Ivan walks over to his car and takes a walk around to see if there's anything on there. " I guess it's your lucky day today." Ivan walks back over to Mona. "Come." Ivan walks toward his car while waving his hand making sure Mona is following him. " Look, you're fine." Mona smiled at Ivan with relief. " I gotta go. I'm so sorry. Bye!" Mona runs off. "Hey! You still haven't told me your name yet!." Mona walk's away with her head down kicking pieces of rocks and mumbling to herself. A car pulls up driving alongside Mona and rolls down the window. "Hey! Where are you going? I'll give you a ride. Mona turns her head towards the voice. " Oh, my god! It's him again!" Mona pretended she didn't hear anything and walked even faster. The car pulls up in front of Mona and blocks her. Ivan gets out of the car and walks up to Mona.

" hey" Ivan grabs onto Mona's arm. Mona turns around with a scared and nervous look on her face. "C'mon, I just want to know what your name is." Mona's eyes start to get watery. " No..no... I don't mean to startle you. Please don't cry. Mona shakes her head. " It's not your fault. It's me, you just reminds me too much of my ex-boyfriend. " Mona!" A voice scream. Mona pushes Ivan away and turns to the voice. Hee Joon runs down the block to where Mona was. " Hey, leave her alone." Hee Joon grabs Mona's hand. He looks at Mona in a concerning tone, "let's go!" Hee Joon pulls Mona away. While leaving, Mona turns back to give Ivan an apologetic bow. Then Ivan whispers " So your name is Mona. I'll remember that." Then he slips a piece of paper into Mona's hands. "See you again next time Mona " Ivan waves goodbye with a smile on his face.
later that night, Mona began pacing back and forth, hesitant on turning on the computer. After 10 minutes, she finally sits down and turns on the computer. "What?? Picture application? That's too much work." Mona turns off the computer. Then she remembered that day when Ivan had slipped a piece of paper in her hands. "I wonder where I put that paper?" Mona dives into her garbage can. "Hm... I wonder if this is it." Mona un_crumbles the paper. The paper has a little note on it with some numbers. "What the heck is this?" Mona wonders.

"It's Ivan's phone number," Mona mused to herself.

"Should I call him? Wait, but why? And why did he give me his number?" Mona's thoughts oscillated, leaving her uncertain about what to do with the slip of paper.

Throughout the night, Mona was consumed with thoughts of Ivan. Tossing and turning, she found herself unable to fall asleep. Her mind was flooded with memories of Ken and herself, only to be interrupted by sudden flashes of Ivan's face.

Finally, she drifts into a deep sleep.

"Are you okay?" Ivan asks. Mona nods.

"Let's go!" Ken exclaims.

Mona dashes towards Ken with a wide smile and open arms. A surge of happiness and carefree thoughts fills her mind. Abruptly, Ken vanishes, and Mona is left alone amidst the encircling smoke.

"Ken! Ken!" Mona calls out, searching for him.

"Ken!" she exclaims, then abruptly sits up in bed. Realizing it was all a dream, Mona feels the heartache anew, as though she has lost him all over again.
