Oy actually updating. If anyone cares. But hey there's like 380 something reads, pretty awesome! Thanks ;)
Alexander and Maria had carried on their affair for about a month. Both of them felt horrible about it, but neither of them wanted to stop. It was addictive. They hated to do this to the people they loved, but when they were together... neither of them could say no.
It was Christmas, and the Schuylers were throwing a small Christmas party at their house. They had invited Alex, John, Lafayette, Hercules, and Maria, as well as George and Martha Washington, who were Alex's adoptive parents.
They were all at the Schuylers', talking, mingling, and drinking egg nog. Alexander found Angelica and gave her her present, some of her favourite chocolates. Angelica thanked him, coughing heavily for some reason, and gave Alexander a beautiful set of pens. Alexander thanked her and darted off to find John and Eliza.
Alexander, John, and Eliza stood together, exchanging presents. Alex had wanted to do something special for them, and had written each of them a poem about his love for them. John and Eliza read them right then, both of the blushing and grinning as they read, and kissing him when they finished. Eliza had baked cookies for John and Alex in the shape of hearts, as she made amazing cookies which both of them loved. John and Alex looked very excited to receive the cookies. John, who was very good at drawing, had made Alex and Eliza drawings of the three of them. Alex and Eliza both gasped at the beautiful drawings. All three of them hugged each other. When they pulled away, they were all smiling, but Alexander's eyes were sad.
Peggy was with Maria, of course. Maria was unusually quiet, but Peggy was her normal bright self. Peggy knew that Maria was a vegetarian, loved the environment, and was very against animal testing, so she had got her some beautiful eco-friendly, vegan, bright red lipsticks, which Maria loved. Maria had a silver heart-shaped locket for Peggy, which was engraved on the back: For my star, Peggy. Love, Maria. Peggy gasped, and her hands flew to her mouth. Maria fastened the locket around Peggy's neck, then Peggy turned around and kissed Maria softly.
"I love you," whispered Peggy.
"I love you too," replied Maria, and she wanted to cry.

Angelica thought she might be getting sick. She couldn't stop coughing, she felt too hot, and her nose was stuffed up.
"Hey, Eliza, do we have any Sudafed?" she asked her sister.
"I think Alex has some. His house is pretty close, you could go walk over there and ask him." replied Eliza, without looking up from her book.
So Angelica walked over to Alex's house. When she got there, she knocked on the door, and Martha opened it.
"Hey Martha, is Alex home?"
"He should be in his room, you can come in," replied Martha, opening the door wider.
Angelica smiled and walked inside. She went up to Alex's room and knocked on the door. She waited for a few seconds and there was no reply, so she assumed Alex was listening to music and opened the door.
"Hey Alex, do you have any-" she cut off, astonished by what she saw in front of her.
Maria Reynolds and Alexander were making out on his bed. They had broken apart as soon as they heard Angelica's voice.
"Oh hell no," whispered Angelica. She felt her face grow hot with anger and shock. She turned towards Maria. "You!" she shouted. "Peggy loves you! You're all she talks about! Do you care about her AT ALL?" Maria looked at the floor and Angelica could tell she was close to tears, but in that moment she didn't care. She turned towards Alex. "And you," she said, more quietly. "What about John, what about Eliza? Oh god, Eliza! She's the sweetest, most wonderful, most trusting person in the entire world, and she loves you! She loves you so much, but you don't care! She's going to be heartbroken! Why, Alexander? Why couldn't you be happy with her, with John? Wasn't my sister enough?"
"Angelica..." whispered Alexander, extending his hand out to Angelica.
Angelica slapped his hand away. "No!" she screamed. "Shut your mouth! God, why couldn't you be satisfied? I hope you're happy, both of you. Congratulations." She slammed Alexander's door and stormed out of the Washingtons' house.

"Just tell me. Is it true?" asked Peggy, not meeting Maria's eyes.
Maria inhaled deeply. "Yes," she whispered, even though she wanted so much to say no.
Peggy finally looked up, and her eyes were filled with tears. "I thought you loved me. I really thought you loved me. I love you so much, you know that? I love you... Why would you do that to me?"
Maria took Peggy's hand. "I'm so sorry Peggy... I love you so much, you deserve so much better, I'm so sorry..."
Peggy yanked her hand away. "No," she said. "You don't love me. I'm just not good enough for you, I guess. And here," she pulled off the locket that Maria had given her. "You can keep your stupid necklace." Peggy shoved the locket at Maria and ran out of the room. Maria could hear her sobs as she ran down the hallway.
Maria looked at the necklace in her hands. She turned over the locket, running her fingers over the engraving. "Peggy, my Peggy, my sweet, sweet Peggy," she whispered to herself before collapsing to the floor, sobbing.

Alexander, John, and Eliza sat on a circle in the floor in Alexander's bedroom. None of them knew what to say. Eliza had her head in her hands. John was staring at the ceiling and biting his lip, trying not to cry. Alexander was staring forward, waiting for John or Eliza to say something.
Finally Eliza took her head out of her hands and looked at Alexander. "What did we ever do to you? We never would have cheated on you. We've never done anything bad to you. I just... I just thought you cared about me. I thought you cared about my feelings. I thought I was enough. I thought we were enough. I guess not."
Alexander bit his lip. "Eliza, I-"
"No, Alexander." Eliza stood up, her voice rising. "You don't get to say anything. I'm done with you! You don't deserve me! YOU CAN DIE FOR ALL I CARE!" Eliza screamed at Alexander, the first time she had ever really done that. She stomped out of the room, slamming the door as hard as she could.
John took his eyes off the ceiling and looked at Alexander. "Why did you do it, Alex?' he said, so quietly that Alexander could hardly hear him. "Do you not love me anymore?"
Alexander took both of John's hands in his own. "No, John, I love you so much. I don't know what I was thinking. Please, John... don't leave me..."
John held Alexander's hands for one moment before letting go of them. "I.. I can't do this, Alex. You shouldn't have done that to us. Goodbye, Alex." John got up and left, carefully shitting the door behind him.
After John was gone, Alexander groaned and fell backwards on to the floor. God, Alexander, he thought to himself. What the heck did you do?
Well that was fun... I hope you enjoyed it... Well, enjoyed, maybe not, but you know what I mean. I think this chapter is longer than I usually make them. Thank you so much for reading, voting, commenting... It makes me so happy :) thanks for reading!
