00:38- The greatest thief ever known.
Somehow, you knew.
You knew how to be the greatest thief ever known.
You counted for more than every other male figure that tried to impress me.
You didn't bring me a large bouquet of my favourite flowers, suffocated in cellophane and and excessive amount of ribbon.
You didn't wake up to text me at 3am because I couldn't sleep.
You didn't swipe my favourite nut coated chocolates from the counter while you were doing your weekly shop.
You didn't buy me take out when I was too tired to cook or eat healthily.
You didn't wake me up from my sleep and drag my heavy body out from my apartment to drive me to the edge of the universe to show me the stars in the moonlight.
You didn't sneak past the security guard of my office building and bring me lunch whilst I was stoned with work.
You didn't have soulful, spiritual moments in the cold winter air.
You didn't surprise me with romantic dates and dinner evenings, you didn't take me out with me in my best dress and you in your suit and tie.
You didn't argue and debate with me in our pjs at stupid o'clock at night.
You didn't serenade me by playing a cheesy pop-love song that was stuck in everyone's head for a week.
You didn't let me win in an online video game, letting me believe that you were impressed.
You didn't arrange a treasure hunt on my birthday that led to tickets to a holiday aborad.
You didn't cook for me, or bring me breakfast in bed when I was suffering from the common cold or when it was our anniversary or my birthday.
You didn't grab me by my wrist whilst I was walking away, stop me dead in my tracks, and pull me backwards so I stumbled and twirled into your chest. You didn't lift my head up by the chin and get lost in my eyes as I got lost in yours. You didn't whisper the words of affection, your breath didn't brush my cheeks and you didn't press your lips ferociously onto my own.
You.
You didn't any of it, anything that every other boy did to impress me and win me and do everything in his power to show me how much he loved me.
You were the only boy who did nothing, who didn't try like the rest of them. It was me.
ME.
I was the one who did everything that every boy did to me, I did it to you.
I brought you flowers and chocolates and woke up to debate and talk in the cold winter air and I cooked and and serenaded and arranged dates and treasure hunts and I thought of you all the damn time and oh boy, it was me who grabbed your wrist.
Stopped you
Pulled you back and let you stumble and twirl into my chest
Lifted your head up by the chin and got lost in your eyes
Whispered affections against your cheeks
and
ferociously press my lips onto yours.
Every boy thought that to win my heart, they had to impress me.
You knew that to win my heart was to let me chase you for yours.
Somehow, you knew.
You knew how to be the greatest thief ever know.

Words.
PoetryTo be completely honest, it's just a load of randomly plucked words from the air, infused together with some punctuation and their job is to represent the bunch of emotion I, - a tired, caffeine filled, late night worker- threw together in hopes tha...
