I lifted my head up and wiped away the tears. I pulled back my hair and washed off the make up. I peeled the sticky, high profile clothes and replaced them with the baggiest of sweats. I played some sappy, sorrowful music and ordered some junk food, I started to sing and dance to the beat and shovel pizza down me, I laughed and kept singing and twirling around, I looked hideously free. I spun my body around, pizza piece in hand, I saw him. He was watching me. He had been watching me twirl and eat and sing off beat. He leaned against the doorway and continued to stare at me, a small, genuine smile on his lips. I walked over, he seemed interested and he smiled, arms open, ready for me to fall. He wasn't prepared for a door to slam in his face, yet, here we are.
