If things weren't already stressful as hell for Justin, they got a whole lot worse when filming for the BELIEVE movie started. Promoting the movie was a ton of extra work that he honestly couldn't handle on top of the stress that touring already poured onto his shoulders, so he left the job to Scooter and whoever worked for him.
Justin gave up on Caitlin quickly. Instead of pouring all of his attention and energy into the thought of her, he spent his time pouring vodka into clear plastic water bottles at night after concerts.
The alcohol never ignored him. It never made him feel stupid. The best part for Justin, though, was that the alcohol gave him the control he craved.
In all the aspects of his life where he lacked control, alcohol made up for it. That was why he quickly decided that the only thing he needed was alcohol, clubs, a random girl or two, and sometimes a little musical release.
Family was out of the question. Even though he loved and craved the feeling that his increasingly reckless lifestyle gave to him, he refused to let his little brother and sister be a part of his life while he was like this. He was still angry at his dad for ignoring his feelings. His mom hated him for all the trouble he got in. At least that's what he believed.
He believed that the world hated him. It didn't matter that he was still singing to a sold out crowd every night. They were just there to judge him.
He stopped going to award shows, and even stopped going to clubs eventually. House parties were the way to go.
Until his house got busted.
Even though he had a strict phone policy at his parties, pictures still got out. They probably should have ruined his life a little bit. The fact that his cops had spent an entire two days searching his house probably should have made him upset. It didn't even faze him anymore.
Once he was allowed back into his house, Justin shut himself inside. He no longer felt like he needed other people to even get him into a high he couldn't ever see himself coming down from.
Night after night was spent sprawled across his couch, laughing loudly into the silence of his home as he stared at a wall. Various amounts and combinations of drugs and alcohol were covering the table in front of him.
His phone rang one morning. Despite how angry he was at the name that popped up on the screen, he accepted the facetime anyway.
"What." His voice was deep and raspy.
"You can't seriously be mad at me still because I told you to get over that girl." His dad laughed lightly through the phone.
"I'm going to hang up in a minute. Get whatever you called me for over with."
"I just wanted to let you know that if you ever need to release some steam... Feel better... Without shoving large amounts of drugs and alcohol into your system, I have a way. A friend."
"I dont need you or your fucking friend. Piss off." With that, Justin ended the call and put his phone down again.
The screen lit up with a new call only seconds later. It made him groan in annoyance, but he picked up the phone anyway.
"Did I fucking stutter? Let me say it one more time. I don't-"
"Justin?"
"Caitlin?"
