Ch.2 Alask

After Edward came back from hunting he came up to my room, "I'm going to Alaska for a few days, to try and get control of my thirst again..." he said as if he were scared I was going to yell at him.
"Okay, do you want me to come?" I asked.
"No, I need sometime to myself, try and figure out where to go from here." He stated.
I look down, it hurt he didn't want me to come, but I understood, he needed to figure thing out and if he had to be alone to do it so be it.
"Okay, just promise you'll call me if you need me."
"I will, I promise." He said while holding out his pinkie, remembering that it was something I used to do with my siblings before I was turned. I laughed and interlocked my finger with his.
"You know I'll always be here for you right?" I asked him hoping he knew that even though he met Bella, and will most likely start spending a good majority of his time with her, I would always be here when he needed me.
"Of course I know that. You do know that even though I've met her, I'm not going to let anything change between us right?" I nodded and laid back on my bed that's never actually been slept in, he follows suit and lays beside me I snuggled into his side, and he wrapped his arms around me.
" I know.." I said trailing off.
"What's wrong?" He asked, knowing that I don't like him snooping around in my head. Not that he really needed to, he can read me like an open book.
"Nothings wrong, why would you think something's wrong?" I asked.
"El, I know you like the back of my hand, you can't hide anything from me." He said with a slight laugh. I snorted in agreement " it was worth a shot" I said. "Now tell me what's wrong."
" I'm beginning to realize that once you start getting involved with Bella, I'm going to be the only one without someone... I'm scared I'm never going to find someone like the rest of you have.." I trailed off.
"Oh... El, you'll find someone, it might not be now but you'll find him eventually." He said in a sympathetic tone.
" I know, I just want to find them now, I'm tired of being alone..."
" I know you are, but sometimes the best things take the longest to get to you." He said looking at me while I was staring at the wall.
"When did get so wise?" I asked while laughing.
"I've always been wise." He said with a slight smirk that I see more then I would like to.
"Mmm you sure about that..?" I said laughing. He chuckled and rolled his eyes, replying with an I'm sure.
"So when are you leaving for Alaska?" I ask looking up at him.
"Tonight." He said
"Okay, do you need help packing?" I asked him, not ready to be without my best friend just yet.
"You can help if you want but you don't have to." He stated.
"Okay, lets go get you packed."
~The next Day~
Edward left last night, and I miss him already. I got out of bed having laid  there reading all night after Edward left, walked into my bathroom to do my hair and make up. Once I was finished I walked into my fully stocked closet to get dressed. (That's what she's wearing)

I walk down stairs grab my bag of the bench by the front door and my keys walking out the front door, and getting into my car.

The drive to school was quieter then usual, with Edward gone it seemed like everything was quieter. As I pull into the parking lot and park next to Emmett's Jeep. I get out of my car and notice that Bella was staring at us, looking for Edward no doubt. I follow Jasper  to first period. The first 2 periods went by quickly and we were now on our way to lunch.
"You can go Al, I have to grab something from my locker." I told Alice.
"Ok! I'll see you there!!" She said in her usual bubbly tone. I walk to my locker, while everyone walks to lunch.
"Hey... Ellery..." I heard a small voice from behind my locker door. I look over and notice Bella standing there.
"Hey!" I said with a smile, " you're Isabella right?"
"Yeah.. though I prefer Bella." She said in an awkward tone.
"Oh okay! So what's up did you need something?" I asked trying not to scare her off.
"Uh kind of, I was wondering if..." she trailed off.
"If I could tell you where Edward is?" I took a guess with a slight smile.
"Yeah. And maybe you could tell me why he wanted to switch out of biology so badly?" She said nervously as if I was going to get mad at her questions.
"He's up in Alaska visiting our cousins. And as for why he wanted to switch classes, I can't exactly say because it's not my place to tell, but I can tell you it wasn't because you did anything wrong. Believe me if anyone knows Edward it's me."
She smiled slightly"I just wanted to make sure he was okay, because I haven't seen you guys apart since I've gotten here."
I laughed a little bit, "yeah, he's okay. I'm sure it must be weird, us being so close, I mean we always have been.." she smiles. "Hey since you've asked me a question, can I ask you one?" She stared at me for a few seconds before nodding unsurely. "Do you like my brother?" I asked hoping to get a peek into her mind. She opened her mouth slightly, " I'm curious about him, I want to get to know him better..." she said nervous that I wouldn't like her reply. I smile and gently rest a hand on her jacket clad shoulder. "That's a good answer, I like you, and I think we're going to become great friends." She looks at me, almost in surprise, and smiles.
"I like you too."
"Well that's good! It's important that we like each other if your going to date my brother.." I said slowly starting to walk to the cafeteria, Bella following behind me. She blushed lightly, and I laughed at the humans embarrassment.
"Hey, what are you doing this weekend?" She asked me. I look over to her,"nothing as far as I know, probably just hanging out at home why?" I asked her.
"Would you maybe want to come over and hangout tomorrow?" She asked. I smiled at her "sure! What time?"
"Twelve?" She asked.
"Sure I'll see you then!" We walked through the doors of the cafeteria, and it went silent. And everyone stared.
"So I'll see you tomorrow?" I ask.
"Yeah." I nod at her and strut towards my family who were looking at me questioningly.
"What was that about?" Emmett asked tossing his apple into the air and catching it on his hand, most likely bruising the fruit.
"She wanted to know where Edward was, if he was ok, and asked if I wanted to come over tomorrow." Alice sequels, "finally!!" She chirps.
"What" I asked slightly confused.
She smiles on a sly way witch makes me nervous.
"You'll see." She said with a wink.

Ahhh!! Chapter 2 is complete. You guys got to see a little bit of Ellery and Edwards relationship. I really wanted Ellery and Bella to get a long well, because I don't want them not liking each other to effect Edwards relationship with El!
