Kirstin's pov
I slowly started to regain consciousness. I didn't want to open my eyes because I was afraid of seeing what I already knew.
You know what happened, don't you? It's strange though... I feel disconnected from you. Ayana's voice rang in my head.
Do you really have to do that, my head hurts. Of course you would know that. I whined.
No. I'm afraid to open my eyes. I don't wanna be a werewolf.
Me neither. Wait! A crazy idea popped in my head can you feel anything against your back?
A long pause.
Yes. I still have my wings... but I thought... the confusion in her tone gave it all away.
"I don't have my wings" I sighed "I'm a werewolf."
"Wait... Kirstin are you talking out loud?" I heard her voice and opened my eyes.
We were in a dark tunnel. I could see clearly and there sitting across from me was the girl I possessed all those years. I looked down and saw that I had my own limbs and all sorts. I had my own body.
"You can thank my brother Kevin for that," a familiar voice "He made it so you could be out of each others hair. Of course we were surprised when we heard that Dan had bit you but it was not a problem for us."
"But how did you know that I was and she..." Ayana stuttered
"Hiya queens" a young boy came bounding in as soon as she said that.
"Umm... I'm no queen" Ayana looked as confused as I felt
"Kevin, they have just woke up" a blond haired boy with permed hair scolded.
"I'm sorry Lewis babe, I didn't think-" the boy is assumed was Kevin responded
"It's fine" Ayana stood up "I am hungry though, anything to eat?"
"Yeah," I nodded "I'm starved and I swear I could feast like a wolf."
Ayana laughed, the tension that was between us was defiantly gone as we passed corridor after corridor. We finally arrived at a room that resembled a dining area but my eyes rested on one person and one person alone, even though the room was crowded.
That person was Carmella.
Carmella's pov
I can't believe I let Kevin go and get Ayana and Kirstin. I have never liked that boy and I swear at some point we will fight. However I saw the people I had been waiting for. Kirstin looked a lot different from the time we fought on the battlefield. Her hair was short and messy oh and those ugly freckles that covered her face I could not stand. Ayana however was different. She had long flowing brown locks and ocean blue eyes that hid her pale face.
She was a beauty before the higher ups got her. It was a shame, such beauty wasted on war.
"So you girls are-" I noticed Kevin and Lewis making out on another table "YOU TWO GO GET AN EFFING ROOM! Now... you want to know what has happened so let me explain.
"This is the home of the rebellion; a group of people who are fed up with the higher ups controlling them. There's gonna be a war soon and we need you Ayana to complete the prophecy."
"I can't kill Francis!" Ayana exclaimed
"Then love him." It was as simple as it got.
"I-I can't..."
"It's one or the other sweetheart and if you are not able to love him then the boy will die."
Kirstin looked at Ayana and then back to me. I was prepared for what she was going to ask.
"So why are you here?" Kirstin asked "I thought you were one of the higher ups."
"Alas, I am merely a servant to them. A messenger, a voice, a face for them. I grow weary of them controlling what I do. That is why I am here."
"So... what is the plan then?"
Kirstin asked, clearly still not trusting me."We wait for Francis to-"
"We're sorry miss but..." The witches entered carrying a limp body.
"He died under our care. We apologise. " another witch spoke
"Clearly this is a trick" Kirstin sighed picking out dirt from under her nails "He is just asleep so you had better awaken him or I will-"
"Calm Kirstin... it's most likely a wear off potion, correct?" Ayana interrupted
"It is miss it will wear off in one hour, we wanted to test- you said two other angels are going to be here Carmella. I only see one."
"Yes, as you can see there is only one angel as the other one was bitten by a werewolf and is now one of the moons children."
"Ahh... I see so she no longer has the power of flight"
"Can you stop talking to me like I am not here!"
Long brown hair started appearing all over her body. I checked the skylight and sure enough, tonight was a full moon.
Kirstin was going through the transformation.
