I'm going ahead
Throwing faith into your heart
You're going south
I'm chained north
You're something I want
Someone I need
The needle in my haystack
Something I'd never want to give back
I'm calling you my grain at the beach
There are a lot like you
But that's it- I want you
I want you to grow in my rainforest of life.
Fissures are developing between us
But know that
Through unison division and all tradition
If you call
I can be on late night on the busiest bus
Seeking you wherever you are.
Through the most thunderous of showers
The heaviest of rains
Gales of wind
Know that my affection for you is galvanised each morning.
Now I can go
Praising you in all your honour
In most of your valour
But then I'd be insulting the purpose of this paper
Tomorrow is a new day with new people and things
I want you to enjoy yourself in all their magnitude and splendour
Today I'll be in Berlin, then Tokyo, and probably Mombasa
But forever I'll be waiting on you
