"Run! Run! Var-si-ty! Run right to a, Victory!"
The cheerleaders went through their routine again. The Christmas game was coming up soon, the most important and the last one this year. After finishing jumping around and shouting letters, the girls scattered and started loudly discussing their fails and what they had to work on
"GIVE ME A B, GIVE ME AN R, GIVE ME AN I, BRI WHY DID I FREAKING AGREE TO COME HERE, WHY?"
A short dark haired girl shouted from the seats to one of the cheerleaders.
"Woah, Alina, you're quite good, fancy joining the team next year? You could do with some workout." Another girl from the team commented.
Alina just stuck out her tongue at her and started walking down the steps to the gym floor. While she was slowly making her way to the team, Alina looked at Bri an remembered everything that had happened to them since they had met.
After being Internet friends for years, they finally met and decided to move to England together and share a flat.
"Bri, I'm BORED. No offense guys, but after seeing this millions of times it kinda hurts your brain. Also, I need to do some Christmas shopping and stuff and I need fast food!"
Bri laughed at her friend's impatience, and shaked her head.
"A few more times and we'll go, kay? Hey, I'll even buy you fries."
That calmed the older girl down and, after barely making through the rest of practice, Alina finally towed Bri out of the gym and both headed towards the mall. As always, this shopping adventure didn't go calmly. The girls got distracted by the big Christmas tree and tried to crawl in the middle of it, only to be told of by the security guards. Also, they may have inflicted some minor injuries to people because they just had to dance and waltz around when they heard their favourite Christmas song come on.
Finally, exhausted from shopping and uncontrollable laughter, the two friends decided to head back home. After unpacking all the bags, the girls decided to spend the rest of the evening reading. Sometimes they just grabbed the books they were reading and just sat in the living room reading. Even though neither spoke for some hours, it was really nice, peaceful and interesting.
"Alinaaaa, can you make the hot chocolate today please??"
"Aw, come on man, I made it last time!"
"Please please please, I'm very tired from practice and your the most wonderful person ever please I will love you forever."
"So you don't love me forever already?"
"Oh, I'll love you even more forever!"
The older girl laughed and, giving in to her friends pleads, headed over to the kitchen to make the hot chocolate. This was how it went most times, and even though both knew the outcome, they still had a mini argument.
After taking their hot drinks to the living room, the girls curled up on the sofa, wrapped up in blankets, their feet barely touching.
They lost themselves in their own magical worlds, and for the next three hours no one spoke.
"Hey Bri" the older girl suddenly spoke up.
"Hm?" was the response.
"Merry Christmas "
"You do know it's not Christmas yet?"
"Yeah, I know, it just seemed a perfect moment to say it. "
"Aaaw, merry Christmas to you too."
