"Wherever you go, you know I’ll be there. If you go far, you know I’ll be there"
Jumping around with thousands of people.
"I’ll go anywhere, so I’ll see you there. You place the name, you know I’ll be there"
Fist pumping the air and screaming the lyrics.
"You name the time, you know I’ll be there. I’ll go anywhere, so I’ll see you there"
The best. Christmas tour. EVER.
"Keep in mind, I’ll be there for you"
A short girl, lost in the crowd and in the music, looked around her. When she spotted her good, once only Internet friend, Lewis, she instantly calmed down, thankful that he wasn't too far away.
She pushed her way through the people and tapped her friend on the shoulder.
Lewis instantly turned around and smiled widely. As it was loud, he just showed two thumbs up and turned back to the stage. Alina smiled behind his back, extremely glad the boy was happy with his Christmas gift.
He had been bothering her for months about going to the Green day concert, but she had made up an excuse about not being available, convinced his friends into rejecting his proposal and even talked his parents into not letting him go on his own.
It was all planned out perfectly, and his reaction was totally worth the hustle.
"Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road, time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go"
The crowd went wild. Many took out lighters and held up their hands, ready to sway to the music.
"It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right. I hope you had the time of your life."
The two friends also got their lighters ready. Even though neither smoked, they always had a lighter each specially for concerts. Lewis reached to grab Alina's hand, and lifted their entwined hands above their heads. This was also a thing they did every concert they went to, and it had become their kind of tradition.
"So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind, hang it on a shelf in good health and good time"
They turned to each other and smiled. The same thought was going through their heads: "Oh how freaking lucky I am to have such a friend."
"It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right. I hope you had the time of your life. "
After the concert they headed to McDonald's for some late dinner. It wasn't a posh restaurant or a snazzy diner, but neither ever cared about that, because eating out like this was always a lot of fun.
This time wasn't any different, after getting food they sat in the booth they always ate in, they spent their time singing Green day songs, fantasizing about youtubers and just having a great time.
By the time they stumbled back into the flat that they shared, it was already 3 am. Both were extremely tired and they headed into their own rooms.
The only sound disturbing the silence was the distant roar of traffic, but otherwise it was quiet in the flat.
"MERRY FREAKING CHRISTMAS, LEWIS" the girl suddenly shouted.
After Lewis's laughter had died down, he shouted back:
"Merry Christmas, Alina."

Lewis, you are freaking amazing. Even though we don't Skype anymore, I still remember and treasure those times when we did.
