(Dim lights shine on ALEX and WENDY on the roof of WENDY's house.)
Wendy: A-Alex? I have something I have to tell you.
Alex: Wend what's wrong? You only stutter when you're sad.
Wendy (crying): M-m-my parents separated, and Dad get's full custody of me.
Alex: I'm sorry Wend. Whatever happens you still have me. Forever and always.
Wendy: Ale that's not the worst part.
Alex: What's the worst part?
Wendy: I-I have to move to California with my D-Dad.
(ALEX hugs WENDY and tries to comfort her. They lay down on the roof.)
Alex: I love you. We still have prom, that won't change. I'll walk to California if I have to.
Wendy: I love you too. We're l-leaving in three days.
(WENDY and ALEX fall asleep on the roof. Stage lights dim to black.)
