Chapter 1

Mom: "I can't believe that my lovely daughter grew up so fast. 20 years old.."

Yeah. Today is my birthday and my parents are giving a party at our house. She is standing and giving a speech to me right now.

How emberrassing.

"And all of you listen carefully! We have good news!!", my mom said.

Good news? OH! Maybe they bought me a car. OMG MY OWN CAAAAR~

"Our daughter is getting married soon!", she continued.

What? What did she say? Married? I'M GETTING MARRIED? WHY? HOW? WHO???!?!?!
Everyone stood up and started cheering.

AFTER THE PARTY

Everyone congratulated me to my engagement. Wow, I'm not even in love with someone.

After everyone left I tried to talk to my parents.

You: "Dad?"
Dad: "Sorry, I have work to do, honey. Can you talk to me later?"

I walked away, searching for my mom.

You: "Mom?"
Mom: "Yes, please?"
You: "Is there something you need to tell me?"
Mom: "Oh of course! Hani wanted to--"
You: "NO!!! I mean about my marriage" I said angrily.
Mom: "Ohh, sure.", she nodded, "Come sit down."

We sat down on the couch and I looked at her expectantly.

Mom: "Sweetie, we have to talk about something."
You: "Ohhh, really?" I asked sarcastically.
Mom: "Look at you. You're an adult now. You are 20, Y/N."
You: "And?"
Mom: "And you're still living here, doing nothing with your life"
You: "Ahhh, I got it. You don't want me here."
Mom: "It's not that! We want you to have your own life"
You: "So you are kicking me out?"
Mom: "Our friends have a son. He's a handsome young man with a good job and financial security."
You: "But I don't even know him. How can you agree to a marriage behind my back?"
Mom: "Please, Y/N. It is for your future. We have dinner with him tomorrow."
I groaned.
Mom: "I'm sure you will like him."

NEXT DAY AT DINNER

Mom: "Help me setting up the table, Y/N!"
You: "Yeah, yeah."
After everything was ready, the doorbell rang. I opened the door and saw Mr. and Mrs Kim.

You: "Good evening, Mr. Kim, Mrs. Kim!"
I bowed to them as they did too.
Then they walked in and I saw a young man.

Okok, mom was right with the handsome thing.

??: "Hello, I'm Taehyung. You must be my future wife."
You: "O-oh, I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you."
Taehyung: "You look beautiful.", he said and walked in too.
You: "Thank you." I blushed.

And he is cute.

We all sat down on the dining table and started eating. Taehyung was sitting in front of me and the fact that he was staring at me the whole time made me nervous.

Okay, Y/N just eat your food. Don't look at him. Your food is more important.

Mrs. Kim: "Taehyung, who do you want to invite?"
Taehyung: "Uhmm.. my hyungs?"
Mrs. Kim: "So you want only your "hyungs" to be invited? What about your family? Don't you care about them? Do you love your hyungs more than your family?"
Taehyung: "Mom--"
Mrs. Kim: "Oh yeah, don't you remember when they were drawing the word "I'm drunk in love with my teddybear" on your face?"

I burst into laughing and almost choked at my food.

Mom: "Y/N, thats rude!"
You: "Sorry... But it was too funny tho."

She glared at me as I continued eating.

Mr. Kim: "So we are paying everything and you can invite everyone you want."
Dad: "Thank you so much."
Mrs. Kim: "Oh and Y/N! I would like to choose the wedding dress for you."
You: "Why can't I choose- OUCH!"

My Mom stepped on my foot and was giving me a death glare.

You: "Oh, thank you, Mrs. Kim."
I faked a smile to her.
Mrs. Kim: "I'm sure you will like it."
Taehyung: "I will buy the rings.. Y/N, do you have any wishes?"

I thought for a moment and shook my head.
You: "No, I trust you will make a good choice."
I smiled and he did too.

~~~A FEW MOMENTS LATER~~~

Mr. Kim: "Thanks for the dinner, it was very delicous."
Mom: "You're welcome!"

Taehyung came to me and kissed my hand, causing me to startle a little.

Taehyung: "It was nice meeting you. I'm sure I will be lucky with you."

After that they left.

Oh my gosh. Taehyung seems really kind and lovely. I'm so excited for the marriage.
