Will Solace exited the infirmary, looking for his boyfriend, Nico di Angelo. Unfortunately, the small son of Hades was nowhere to be found. "Hey, Percy! Have you seen Nico anywhere?" Will asked cheerfully, walking up the Percy Jackson and his girlfriend Annabeth Chase.

"Uh, no. Why?" Percy asked, cocking his head in confusion.

"Oh," said Will, biting his lip. "I just haven't seen him in a while."

"Did you check the Hades cabin?" asked Annabeth.

Will frowned slightly. "I had told him to stay outside, but I guess he must be in there," he responded, scowling slightly. Then, his face obtained its usual cheery smile. "Thanks anyways! Bye!" With a small wave, Will strolled off towards the Hades cabin, hoping that Nico waited in there. When he reached the dreary cabin, he knocked on the door, calling out, "Nico? Y'there, darling?"

There was a quiet sniffle, and then, "Y-Yes."

Will smiled, and pushed open the door. "Hey, Neeks. Haven't seen you in a while? What have you been up to?" he asked his boyfriend, sitting down next to him on the floor.

"N-Nothing," stammered Nico. That's when Will noticed there was something wrong.

"Are you okay, sweetheart?" Will asked, facing Nico.

"Yeah," mumbled Nico, but he did NOT look okay.

"No," Will said, taking Nico's chin in his hand and gently facing it towards his. "What's up?"

"I-" Nico made a strangled sound in his throat before continuing. "I can't tell you."

Will felt like someone punched him in the heart. "W-What? Don't you trust me?"

Nico sighed. "I do, but-"

"There is no but," interrupted Will, starting to get frustrated. "You either trust me or not. I'd like to know now, considering we've been dating for two years."

"I trust you, but I can't tell you," muttered Nico, looking at his feet. Then, his face lit up. "Two years? It been two years already?"

"Don't change the subject, mister," Will argued. "Tell me what's going on."

Nico had an excited smile on his face, and he shook his head. "It's not important. So- what were you going to ask me?" he asked, face hopeful.

"Nico, if you don't trust me, clearly we aren't working on," sighed Will, not looking at Nico's eyes.

The hopeful look dropped, leaving a hurt and confused one across the boy's face. "Wh- are you breaking up with me?" He asked, afraid.

"I just think we need to spend some time away from eachother," Will lied.

"But...you said...," Nico trailed off, hurt displayed across his face.

"Nico, it's just-" started Will, but he was interrupted by a pounding on the door, and a male voice.

"Open up, di Angelo," it demanded.

Nico's face turned ghostly pale, and he shoved Will towards the back exit. "Will- you have to go. I-" his voice caught. "I love you."

"No," Will replied with a shake of his head. "Clearly you don't."

Nico looked heartbroken, and then leaned in. When their lips met, Will didn't feel the fireworks he usually did. It was more of a burning sense that said he doesn't love or trust you anymore. Will turned away and left the back exit, leaving Nico alone in the cabin. Immedietly, Will rounded the exterior and watched through the window as Nico opened the door and unwillingly let three burly campers into his cabin who, by the looks of it, were all sons of Ares.

"About time," one of them said gruffly. Will recognized that one as Nathan Rogers. "You didn't tell him, did you?"

Nico stared at the ground, and Will could see the tears forming in his eyes. "N-No," Nico stammered.

"Good," snarled the second one, whose name was Gabe Dreger.

Will watched, confused, as the boys walked towards the shaking son of Hades. His mind connected what was happening when the first punch landed on his ex-boyfriend's jaw. Nico yelped, and stumbled to the floor, searching for his sword. Gabe saw this, and kicked it far out of reach before sinking his fists into Nico's shoulder.

"P-Please," begged Nico. "Not today."

"Why not today?" Asked Kai Markson, the third son of Ares.

"He...he left me," whispered Nico so quietly that Will wouldn't have been able to hear him if the window he had been looking through was not open.

"He broke up its you? The Solace kid dumped you?!" exclaimed Nathan.

Wills heart filled with dread. That was him.

Nico nodded shakily, and the bullies started to laugh.

"You should have seen it coming," Kai snarled, punching Nico's jaw again.

"I-I hoped," stuttered Nico. "He...he promised me...Will promised me he wouldn't leave, that he'd love me f-forever."

By now, Wills heart was stuttering as much as Nico, breaking into shards when he saw how defeated and broken Nico looked.

"Nobody loves you, f*g," Nathan snapped.

"W-Will told me...he said that on my birthday, he w-would propose. When we were both eighteen. That's today. I thought..." sobbed Nico.

Will stood there, stunned. He had told Nico he was going to propose. Heck, he was going to. But he completely forgot today was Nico's birthday! That's what Nico was excited about when they were talking. He thought that he was getting married. So did Will. But it was because of the bullies- and Will's crappy date memory- that they didn't.

"Dumped on his birthday," mocked Gabe.

Then, he punched Nico in the temple, causing the son of Hades to crumble to the floor in sobs.

Will stormed to the door and slammed it open, stalking in. "Get your hands off my boyfriend," he seethed.

Nico looked up, and his expression hardened. "G-Go away, Solace," he stammered, glowering at Will

The bullies stepped away, watching the scene with matching amused expressions on their faces.

"Nico," Will said, getting down on one knee and pulling out the ring box he always carried. "Will you marry me?"

"Will, we aren't even dating," replied Nico harshly. "You left me, remember?"

"I know, and that was the stupidest decision I'd ever made," begged Will. Then, he thought for a moment. "Which is saying something, considering all of the stupid things I've done."

Nico cracked a small, tearful smile. "Like when you tried to burn all of my black clothing and almost burned my cabin down?" he asked teasingly, although his voice was thick and his Italian accent was slight.

"Like that," replied Will with a smile.

Nico laughed. "Or when you flooded the Infirmary because you forgot to turn off the sink while you were lecturing me about bandages?"

"Haha. We get it," chuckled Will. "Now answer the question, dork. My arms hurt," whined Will.

Nico laughed. "Of course, sunshine," Nico said, kissing Will passionately.

"Fags," Nathan spit.

"Get out and don't bother my fiancé ever again unless you want Jason Grace, Percy Jackson, Piper McLean, Annabeth Chase, Reyna Ramirez-Arellano, Hazel Levesquel, Frank Zhang, or Leo Valdez to kill you slowly," threatened Will.
