Nico di Angelo lay in the Infirmary bed, deep into a nightmare. He was back in Taurtarus, and everyone he loved died around him. Percy Jackson was ripped to shreds by a hydra to his left. Reyna Ramirez-Arellano was impaled by a sword to his right. Hazel Levesque died in flames behind him. Jason Grace drowned in a river beside him. Will Solace--his secret crush--was dragged into the earth by HIS skeletons. Everything was crumbling around Nico di Angelo. It always had. Nico tried to save them, screaming their names as they slowly died one by one.

Thats when he heard the voice.

Close your eyes; I know what you see

The darkness is high, and you're in ten feet deep

But we've survived more terrible monsters than sleep

And you know I will be here to tell you to breathe

The screams softened as an angelic voice played softly from somewhere outside of Nico's dream. Nico recognized both the song and the voice immediately.

William Solace was singing Soldatino.

Nico felt himself relaxing, and the nightmares slowly disappeared, taking him to a new place.

Tu sei il mio soldatino

La ragione per cui vivo

Non ti scordar di me

Io veglierò su di te

He, Will, Reyna, and the Seven sat at a picnic, joking and laughing.

Stumbling lost; the last choice of all that you meet

It's the cost of ruling those 'neath your feet

Paths you've crossed, and trust you're trying to keep

You're exhausted, listening for a voice that can't speak

ma nico, mio caro

This was Bianca's song. The one she sang to him when they were young.

Tu sei il mio soldatino

La ragione ho vissuto

Non ti scordar di me

Io veglierò su di te

Bianca was at the picnic too.

So you run; through shadows you roam

Seams undone by the love you thought you could own

But he's just one of many that you might call home

And maybe someday, the bitter will fade from your bones

And when Will kissed him, nobody seemed to mind.

Eri il mio soldatino

Ora un principe oscuro

Ma anche per te, c'è una lace

Che ad un'altra vita ti conduce

Outside of Nico's dream, Will Solace smiled down at the smiling sleeping Ghost King, brushing the dark hair off his forehead and kissing him lightly.

"Good night, soldatino," Will whispered, turning off the lights and leaving the Infirmary.
