(Heavily edited chapter, lol sorry but the other chapters don't have good grammar like this)
It was raining, and Marinette was soaking wet. She just kept running until she found the right address. Then, she saw a huge mansion, with the address she was looking for.
"This must be it..." she murmured, her eyes taking in the grand house. It looked old, but not too shabby. It was definitely gorgeous, absolutely perplexing with its tall build, but for some reason Marinette couldn't place, it made her feel uneasy. He felt as though something felt off, unnatural.
Shrugging off the eerie thought, she walked into the garden. It was huge and filled with all sorts of flowers that Marinette couldn't name, but she couldn't see them all so clearly, it was hard to see all the beauty in this fog.
She continued walking until she reached the door. Like the house, it was also somewhat grand. It was tall, and the wood was dark. She stopped, and looked around the place, narrowing her eyes.
Could this be it?
She took a deep breath and knocked the door slowly. The uneasy feeling came back to her, which she managed to swallow down, just barley. Her stomach churned, feeling nervous all of sudden.
The door opened by itself, which made Marinette hiss in surprise.
She walked in hesitantly, eyes wide.
"Hello? Is anyone home?" She called out, her voice echoing in the walls, and she was greeted with silence.
"Maybe not then," she murmured.
She decided to take a look at the place, since there was no one home. At least that was what she thought.
As she was wandering around, she was greeted with the view of a boy in a couch. At first, Marinette wasn't so sure what exactly was happening. The boy looked still, and the uneasy feeling came back, making her stomach drop. She gulped, and decided to say something.
"Hello? Im Marinette Dupain Cheng. I was sent to live here,"
But he didn't answered.
Maybe he is sleeping.
She took a closer step to see his face. He had blonde hair, and a good looking face, and was muscular.
While she was looking at him, she realized he wasn't breathing at all. His chest was unmoving, and she realized he was maybe too still. She blanched as she realized that the boy may be dead, and quickly crouched besides him and put her head onto his heart, praying to hear his heart beating, but it wasn't. There was no thumping coming from his chest. It almost seemed hollow.
Panic began to take over her, and she hastily reached for her phone in her pocket to call an ambulance, but before she could dial the number, a firm hand grabbed her wrist, stopping her movement.
The hand belonged to the previously dead boy, and boy up straight, looking sleepy.
"Can't you be quiet?" He muttered, and turned to Marinette. His brows furrowed in confusion, as though he wasn't sure if she was really there or not.
"Who the hell are you?"
She froze. "But your heart wasn't beating!"
"Hey, answer me" he growled, and Marinette staggered at the intensity in his eyes. It made her skin flush, and her breath hitched.
She took a deep breath, and slowly spoke, "I'm Marinette Dupain Cheng. I was sent to live here by my parents."
The boy continued to stare at her, his eyes still intense. Then he shifted his gaze and turned away.
"I was not informed that we were having a visitor."
He turned back at her, and she saw his expression shifting into something she deemed as mischievous, causing a shiver to run down her spine. He moved closer to her, and inhaled.
"You smell good,"
"I–what? Did you just–"
But just before she could finish, the boy pinned her down to the couch, trapping her so she was unable to move. Marinette felt herself blush again, completely bewildered.
The boy leaned onto her neck and sighed, "You smell incredibly good, I can almost taste your blood right from here..."
Her eyes flew open, and she felt the oxygen leave her lungs completely.
"Blood?" She found herself asking. Her voice was low, so low that she couldn't recognize it. Fear took over her completely, and she found herself not being able to breathe.
The boy opened his mouth, revealing his sharp—unnaturally sharp canine teeth. Normal human teeth weren't supposed to be that sharp.
The ridiculous thought of him being a vampire ran over in her mind, which she desperately wanted to dismiss, but as his mouth got closer to her neck, she realized that her idea might not be all that far fetched, no matter how baffling it sounded.
She squirmed in the hopes that she could maybe make a run for it, but he was stronger than her. Way too strong in fact. She couldn't even budge. The strength he captivated was too inhuman.
Just when his two prickly teeth were about to rip through her skin and do things Marinette didn't even want to think about, they were interrupted with a voice.
"Now Adrien, is this really how you treat our guest?" Said a masculine voice. Adrien huffed and loosened his grip on her. Marinette felt as thought she could breathe again, and cautiously sat up on the couch to look at the person who, thank god, interrupted them.
The boy had blue eyes and brown hair. Marinette got up from the couch and ran next to the other boy.
"Im Grayson Roberts. But call me Gray shortly. And the blond one over there is Adrien Agreste." He said, his voice was smooth, which reassured Marinette a bit.
Then, a girl appeared. She had gingerish brown hair, and green eyes. Her hair was long and silky. "Is this the visiter you were talking about Gray?" She asked, which he replied with a nod.
"And this is Luna Agreste. She is the younger sister of Adrien," Gray added, pointing at Luna.
Luna smiled at her, which was a big change from her experience here. Marinette found it relaxing, and returned the girl's smile, or tried to, at least.
"You better watch out for the blondie. He gets thirsty real quick," she said, raising her brows as she shot her brother an amused look, which he promptly ignored.
Then another boy walked in. He had brown hair and yellow eyes. "Thats Nino Lahiffe. And where exactly is Alya?" Gray asked, and Luna shrugged.
A banging voice was heard, and a girl came, running breathlessly. "There you are Alya," Nino rolled his eyes. "Late as usual."
Adrien just sat there silently, watching them.
"Well, Marinette. You see, we all are vampires. I'm guessing you figured that out by Adrien's introduction."Marinette gave a muted nod, still not quite believing what she was hearing. This was insane. Were they serious? Was she supposed to be living with a cult?
"Okay everyone listen up, and mostly you Adrien, I got a message saying we must not kill her. Got it?" Gray asked, and everyone nodded and shifted their gaze at Marinette.
Marinette couldn't do anything but to stare back. She was at complete loss for words. But, can you blame her? She is in a house full of vampires!
