Hey guys! Quick note before you read. This chapter is kinda important because you will learn why the originals (aka Luckas, Mayla and Karson) wants to kill Marinette. So read carefully, and enjoy! Hope you like it! (And please vote!)

Marinette stared at the man is shock. So he was Adrien's father?
She then noticed that everyone was trying their best not to look straight in the mans eye. Was he someone important?

The man stood up walking towards Marinette. "Hello." He said. "You must be the Marked vampire girl Gray told me about." Gabriel said.

"Marked?" Marinette asked. She didn't knew why he called her 'Marked girl'.

"Oh my." Gabriel said with his original dark tone. "You don't know? I thought Gray might have told you. It's a pity really. Not knowing who you really are."

He then gave her a half hearted smile. You couldn't tell if he was actually smiling. He was mostly expressionless. "That's actually why Gray called me here. To discuss this situation."

Gabriel then sat back down. Adrien looked at Marinette, then sat next to his father and Luna.
Marinette sat next to Alya.

"You guys don't know why I called Gabriel here." Said Gray. "There is something all of you need to know. Especially you Marinette. And it's important, so listen carefully." Then he looked at Nino. "You too Nino." He said loud enough him to hear through this headphones.

"Oh," Nino said. "yeah sorry about that." Then he took off his headphones.

"The originals wants Marinette right?" Asked Gray to the rest. They all just nodded. Marinette didn't nodded, but just continued to listen.

"Has anyone really thought why?"
Thee was a silence for a moment. The Luna spoke up. "Isn't it because they want her blood. They pick a vampire every hundred year, and well... kill that vampire and take their blood. I dunno why thought. They are mysterious." She said.

"Well, not exactly. That isn't it at all." Gray said. "There is a legend. It's about the originals. And well... it kinda involves Marinette in it." He said, lowering his voice near the ends.

"Wait, what do you mean? Why am I of all people involved?" Marinette asked.

"I will explain everything. Just calm down please." Marinette nodded and slowly leaned back onto the couch.

"The legend is like this: As we all know the originals are impossible to kill because they are the vampires. So it is impossible to kill them. But even if you do kill them all, so kill the whole vampire bloodline along with them. And that is something us vampires don't want. But there is a stake that can kill the originals without killing the other vampires, including us. It's called the white oak stake. It's in New Orleans-"

Gray was interrupted by Adrien. "Hold on. So the stake is in America? That's far away from France." He said.

"Yes it is Adrien. But can you let me finish please?" Gray said. When Adrien didn't said anything back, "Thank you Adrien." Said Gray.

"Now as I was saying, the white oak stake is in New Orleans, hidden in their house there."

"But what does these stuff has to do with me?" Marinette asked.

"I'm getting into that." Gray said.

"But not any vampire can kill them. The person that kills them must be Marked." Gray said.

"Hold on, what does Marked mean?" Asked Alya.

"Marked is a vampire that has angel blood in them. Which means that they are somehow part angels, and half demons." Gray said.

"I hate to ask, but where do I get in it?" Marinette asked once again.

"Right. The reason why they want to kill you and take your blood is, Marinette, because you are... Marked."

There was a silence for a moment. "W-what do you mean? I'm part angel? How do you even know that?" Marinette asked.

"I had a interesting conversation with Sylvenora a few days ago. Turns out she knew your parents. And that they were Marked. So that makes you Marked too, Marinette. That's why Luckas is after your blood. Because you have angel blood. It's very rare for Marked vampires to exist nowadays. So that makes you special. If they get their hands on your blood, they will be stronger then they are. Strong enough to kill every being on this planet. Their plan is to destroy humanity. They are pure evil." He said.

"But hold on. Does that means my parents were vampires all this time..? Well... before they were dead, at least...?" Marinette said.

Gray nodded. "Yes they were. It seems like they just hid it from you."

"Anyway, I should continue with the story/legend." He said.

"As I said, Marked vampires these day are very, I repeat very rare. The last time we saw a Marked vampire was at the 1600-1700. So it was very long ago. And her name was well... Lena Jule. You guys must remember her, right?"

Once again there was a silence. Marinette looked at Adrien, seeing him staring down onto the floor. It was obvious that her name had brought some sad memories.

"If you don't mind, can I ask what happened to Lena?" Marinette asked quietly.

Gray nodded. "The originals killed her, but wasn't able to get her blood. If you ask why, it was because she didn't have them chance to. After they stabbed her heart, (which would cause a vampire to die) she threw herself to the fire so they couldn't get her blood. Lena didn't wanted them to use it for bad. The legend says that one Marked vampire is going to kill the originals with the white oak stake. And that vampire can be you Marinette. And if not, another Marked vampire. But for that we will have to wait for centuries. So we have to try the best we got." Gray said.

"And how are you going to do that?" Adrien asked.

Then suddenly, Gabriel stood up. He had a barley visible smirk on his face.

"It's simple. We are going to New Orleans." He said.
