He gave me lilacs on the sixth day.

The note was not on notebook paper this time.

He had gotten my gift.

I was filled with joy that he had gotten my gift

and I didn't even read what he wrote me.

I opened the note as quick as I could.

Dear Parker,

Thank you so much for the present.

The journal is greatly appreciate.

I use it everyday to write down my thoughts.

I didn't even know I had so many things to think about.

You really didn't need to get me anything.

I'm doing what I'm doing purely for you.

But as I formerly said,

It is greatly appreciated.

Maybe one day we can meet up somewhere.

We can get coffee together.

I like the sound of that,

Do you?

--Luke

He said that he liked my gifts!

I was greatly pleased.

And he wanted to get coffee with me?

Was he subtly asking me out?
