I Am a Survivor

One of the men takes off his metal mask and lets out a wolf whistle. It turns out he is a human. "A female survivor eh? I say we take her in to the colonel...what do you think?" The tallest man grabs my wrist ,tapes my mouth and puts a bag over my head. They lead me to a place where the smell isn't pleasant. I trip over a lump in the ground and fall head first. My feet sting after walking such a long distance, it's as if I am migrating on foot. I finally reached my destination and am told to sit. What? Where? Why? When? I am being interrogated non stop. I begin to feel dizzy. When no one looks, I grab whatever is on the table nearby and throw it in front of me. They can't hold me captive, I am just like them apart from the fact that I am a different gender. I pull apart my wrists and yank the fabric bag off my head. Everyone stares at me as if I just committed murder. Stupidly, I lunge myself at the so-called colonel and punch him in the jaw. It pains in my hand but it manages to do some damage at least so I am satisfied. Two of his men grab my arms and push me into my seat. The colonel leans forward so close we are breathing the same air. I look into his black, beady eyes until he backs away. "She is definitely a survivor. Let her go." I am in shock knowing that one of their own people is still alive. I am in shock knowing that they do not even care about my presence.
