<<<JACK POV>>> (Another finally!)

This cannot be happening.

Kylie was finally starting to calm down and she had to walk in my classroom.

"Jack! I thought you said we would meet for lunch!"

"Veronica, it's barely 10 o'clock and you're talking about lunch."

I could here an almost-silent gasp coming from Kylie.

Shit.

"Veronica, get out of my classroom. I have another class soon."

"That's no way to talk to your wife."

"We've been through this already. I. Fucking. Hate. You. Now, you can go tell that to your 'daddy' but remember what I found. Now get the fuck out."

She just huffed and sashayed out, probably ruining my chances again. That fucking woman is a bloody curse.

I turned to see Kylie just standing there with her head down.

"Kylie, no. Look-"

"Save it. Tom, I don't wanna stay here. Can we go home?"

"Ditching? You're discussing plans on ditching in front of your teacher?"

"She just ignored me and looked at Tom, who nodded, as they left the classroom without another word.

I just sat down in my chair and groaned with my head in my hands.

I still hate Veronica after all these years. I just couldn't find it in me to like her let alone love her.

My dad messed my life up and I just found another chance.

I will win her back. I will not stop trying until I either achieve it or I die.

I didn't have any classes for the next 3 periods so I decided I will go back to the one place where we both had fallen in love.

I can't believe it. He wants me back but he brings his wife along with him.

Well, he's the one that wants an extra-marital affair. But I won't stoop so low.

Yes, 'Veronica' may have ruined my life but even I can't do this to her. No matter how much I want to.

Ruin her, I mean. I have no fucking reason to even talk to Jackass, let alone have an extra-marital affair.

"Princess?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and turned to see Tom's eyes swimming with so many emotions.

Rage, awe, disgust, love, admiration. But hurt was the main one.

"Tom? Why are you feeling so distressed?"

"You know me so well, huh?"

This made both of us crack a smile.

"Yes, I do because I love you. Now, tell me what's wrong."

"Now that your ex-boyfriend is back, the one you had kids with, I'm just scared."

"Scared about what?" But I think I know the answer.

"Scared that you'll leave me for... for that Jackass." 

I felt extremely guilty. But Tom had nothing to worry about. I would never leave him.

"Tom, I'm never going to leave you. I'm pregnant with your child for God's sake. I'll never leave you, okay?"
