It was September 1st, Jared and I had just gotten to King's Cross, when I saw Mathilda with a big smile on her face. She was my best friend since first year. I remember, second year, the teacher asked for one parchment on what we had learned in class. She handed in ten parchments. We hadn't seen each other in a few weeks and I missed her so much. I ran up to her and gave her a big hug. We got on the train and sat in the booth for sixth years. I saw Draco sitting with Blaise and Pansy.

" What did you do this summer?"

"Not much" I lied thinking about what really happened. Jared would flip out out if he found out what happened between me and Draco.

~Flashback~

"Come on, Draco! It'll be fun!" I said, leading him onto the skating rink.

We've been dating for a month now. I was showing him the arena I go to every summer in the muggle world.

"Speak for yourself! This isn't your first time skating." he said.I giggled at how cute he looked, learning how to to skate. I skated up to him and gently took his hands.

"All you have to do is kick your feet back. Right foot, left foot. Right foot, left foot. See! You're getting the hang of it!" I let go of his hands and started skating circles around him.

"Stop it! You're making me dizzy!"

"Whatever you say." I replied, skating off to the center of the rink.

I started doing a few tricks I learned last summer for fun: a jump and a few spins.

"Show off!" I heard Draco shout. I smiled cheekily as I skate up to him.

I smiled cheekily as I skated up to him and suddenly felt his lips against mine. They were soft and gentle. I slipped, and next thing I know, I'm lying flat on the ice and Draco lying on top of me. We were laughing so much, my stomach was hurting. It was the time I've heard him laugh. Everything was perfect!

Mathilda was deep into her story about what she did this, when all of a sudden the room was filled with dark powder. It was probably some first year playing a prank or something. A few hours later, the train stopped at Hogsmead station. We got on the carriages and since Draco strangely wasn't wasn't there, she wouldn't stop nagging me about what was going between us. Of course, Jared wouldn't hear of it.

The sorting seemed to go on forever and I was starving. I hadn't eaten since this morning. At supper, I sat across from Draco. I tried talking to him, but he didn't seem like he wanted to talk. After supper, Dumbledore gave his little speech and then it was off to bed. When we got to the common room, it was nothing had changed : the green lanterns and tapestries, the the couch near the crackling fire, exactly the way I remembered it.

Today was the first day of classes. First, I had Defense Against the Dark Arts, where my best friend and I always sat together. Then I had Herbology and Astonomy with my brother. Last, but not least, I had History of Magic with Draco.

" How are your classes so far?" I asked.

"Fine." he replied blankly. I could tell he didn't want to talk. When class finally ended, I stopped Draco in the corridor and asked him what was wrong.

"I'm fine. I'm just busy." he said pushing past me.

I got to the Slytherin common room and ran straight to the dormitories. I felt like screaming! I lied down on my bed and shoved my head into my pillow. I heard Mathilda walk in. She sat on my bed and I told her everything that happened between me and Draco.

"Why do guys have to be so aggravating?!"

"They're boys! What do you expect? Maybe, you should take a break. You just need a bit of time." she said, lightly rubbing my back, trying to comfort me.

She was right. Maybe we did need a bit of time.
