The Vault Hunter

"So you wanna be apart of the raiders huh? Well you need to show us what you've got."

Stevie nodded her head at the commander of the Crimson Raiders, Roland. They had taken her a little while out of Sanctuary to test her abilities and special skill. They had Axton and Maya set up to attack in the distance. Maya however couldn't use her skill.

"Are you sure they're ok with dying?" She asked.

"Don't worry Nuevo Amigo. They die all the time." Said Salvador.

"Good. Signal them on my count, and you should find some cover."

Roland, Salvador, Gaige and Lilith quickly got behind a large rock and squatted down.

Stevie went into deep thought. Her mind drifted before settling on a certain memory. Suddenly, her muscles grew at an incredible rate, her figure pulsing intense power. Her eyes changed to the intense fiery color again.

"NOW!" She shouted before releasing a vicious battle cry.

"Hit her now." Said Roland into his Echo never removing his eyes from Stevie.

Axton soon got the message and nodded to Maya. They both unloaded their guns at Stevie. Their bullets pierced her, but she stood, as if unharmed. Then a sheen coat covered her and the bullets started bouncing of of her very skin. Her wounds healed over and she broke out into a rage induced sprint.

Axton saw the threat and through out his turret. The machine blasted bullets and rockets at the invincible girl who was still running, completely unharmed. She jumped into the air and landed on top of the turret. She took out her digistruct dagger and plunged it into the turret. It sparked and sputtered until shutting down and disappearing.

"Not the turret!!!" Yelled Axton. He was so preoccupied with turret that he didn't hear Maya's warning or see Stevie throw the dagger. It stuck him in the chest and blood immediately poured out.

"Crap..." He muttered before falling and digistructing to the New-U station.

Maya was slightly afraid seeing Axton's fate. Stevie was getting closer. She pounced unexpectedly and she just managed to avoid her. They twisted and turned as both went for hand to hand combat. Maya saw an opening as Stevie moved to turn into an elbow strike. She pulled her fist all the way back and added extra elemental damage. But right as her fist was about to hit she caught her fist in mid air.

Maya looked deep into Stevie's fiery eyes and felt an intense moment of vulnerability overcome her, causing her to fall to her knees. Stevie immediately went in for a hook kick to bring her to the ground and slit her throat with her dagger that was laying beside her in Axton's blood. The moment her body disappeared Stevie grabbed her head and took extremely deep breaths. Soon she was back to her regular form.

Then she stopped dead in her tracks.

She grabbed Maya's discarded pistol faster than the eye could see and held it to the empty space behind her. Zer0 suddenly appeared from his decepti0n holding his sword to her throat.

"You are very skilled,/Not many sense my presence,/Great minds think alike." He replied in his robotic monotone voice.

Despite being taken aback from hearing Zer0 speak to her, she managed a comeback. "Some minds can think better than others."

Before Zer0 could decapitate her, she shifted her eyes downward. She saw his helmet shift ever so slightly, so that only a trained eye could notice. Right as Zer0 saw the dagger pointed at his stomach area, Stevie shifted back and downwards so Zer0's blow would miss. She pulled the trigger and moved the dagger upwards as she rammed her body forward bringing Zer0 down. His body disappeared as well.

Stevie turned to see the starstruck Vault Hunters behind the rock and the three she defeated laying on the floor in shock by the New-U station.
