K is for Kay

Part 1

The cut on Kay's arm still burned from yesterday when the wound had somehow appeared on her arm. Despite the pain emitting from her wrist, she was busy hacking though government firewalls. 

she had easily hacked her way through the government's security many times before and this time was no different. She was looking for the undeniable fact of alien life in a folder titled Area 51, when she came across a sub file with no name.

 Expecting nothing, she double clicked and was meet with lines and squiggles covering their screen. It wasn't until she had scrolled down that they could make sense of the script. A translation read:

 "If Our Lady is not returned to us in one Earth year, this world shall meet its end." 

Kay flinched back and covered their face as the screen spit sparks and smoke came from the top. As the monitor flickered, she leant back in their swivel chair, head thrown back, and contemplated this frightening information.

 She heaved a sigh but stopped short when a crashes could be heard from outside their door.
