Chapter 4

   Cody’s POV

   I couldn’t do it. I was sitting in the studio staring at my phone. It had been almost a month since I left Australia with my family and also made the biggest mistake of my life.

 And what was that? Leaving behind the greatest friend a person could ask for over a silly fight.

   Right now I was watching Alli record her new single. Ever since we left she had called Kelsey every night. She always asked me if I wanted to talk to her but I didn’t know what say.

“Hey” Alli said sitting down beside me

“Hey you sounded great” I said

“I know you weren’t listening. What’s up?”

“I feel so bad about what I did”

“You never really told me what happened” Alli said

“Well we were working on the design I asked Kelsey to make me and I kind of said something I shouldn’t have.”

“And what was that?”

“You work for me so I could fire you at any moment”

“I can’t believe you would say something like that” Alli said

“I know and I totally regret it”

” well don’t tell me that tell Kelsey” Alli said placing my phone in my hands

   She got up and walked out of the room. I stared at my phone for a while and did what I didn’t have the guts to do before.

    I dialed Kelsey’s number

 It was ringing. I couldn’t do this? She definitely doesn’t want to talk to me. Before I could hang up I heard the familiar voice on the other end of the line.

“Cody?” Kelsey spoke softly

“Umm sorry I called the wrong number” I said

“Oh ok well bye” she said

 Before I could say anything more the line went dead

“So how did it go” Alli asked walking in

“It didn’t I chickened out and told her I didn’t mean to call her”

“Well I don’t was else to tell you other than MAN UP.”

 I sat there and didn’t respond eventually she got up and left.

“Oh ya and this came for you” she said putting a package on the table in front of me.

I opened it up and couldn’t believe my eyes….

Kelsey’s pov

He called me… He just called me. I couldn’t believe it. But he didn’t mean it. Ever since Cody left a month ago my life went back to the way it was before those days Cody was back. It was even worse since I didn’t have Alli either. I mean I am so happy for her but I wish she could still be here with me.

  I felt hurt by the way Cody treated me. I have seen so many shows and videos of Cody at parties and premieres in new outfits and can help think that they could have been mine. After that I decided that I could sit around and do nothing.

 I decided to design some of my own ideas I had for Cody and created them. I sent them to him… I thought when he called he was calling to say thank you but I guess not.

*ring ring*

I picked up the phone and saw it was Alli

“Hey how’s LA”

“Sunny and warm” Alli told me

“That’s great so how’s the single coming?”

“Great they said that they want to do a music video for it” Alli said very excited

“That’s great I can’t wait to see it” I said

This was amazing for Alli. I listened to her go on about the idea she had for the video then she told me something that shocked me.

“I want you to help design the outfits for the video”

“Wait really?” I asked shocked

“Ya it’s my first music video and who else other than you knows my style so well”

“I would love to. I’ll send you some designs as soon as I can” I said excited

“Actually I was thinking you could come and design them here with me”

“Well, I don’t know But I may consider it if you promise not to act like Cody” I said

“You know I would never do anything like that”

“I just wanted to know”

“Well I got to go Cody has an interview tomorrow. You should watch” Alli told me even though she knows I watch everything Cody is on

“Ya of course”

 Alli told me the details and we hung up

The next Morning I woke up and got ready for school. The day went by fast. Even though Alli was always around I still had other friends. One of My closest friends is Maya we met in art club when she saw one of my designs and she showed me some of her own. From then on we have been friends.

  I told Maya all about Cody and what happened. And she has been there for me this whole time.

“So are you watching Cody tonight” Maya asked me when we were walking home from school

“Ya you know I am”

Most people would freak out if they knew I was friends with Cody but seems how Maya knew Cody before he became famous she never does. In fact we all used to hang out together until Maya’s family Moved to England for a few years to be with family.

Later that night I was sitting in front of the TV watching Star News which was the show Cody was to appear on later. Finally, the segment with Cody started.

“Welcome singer Cody Simpson to the stage” the host said

And out walked Cody and I was shocked

Cody walked out wearing My design….
