Wolf

Hiding

Once upon a time, there was a wolf that was very beautiful, and that wolf was playful and rough at times.. she loved to be alone, so she could think and do things she loved to do without anyone knowing. She didn't mind if she was inside her cave or outside. this wolf was not just any wolf though, she could do things other wolfs couldn't do. she could shape shift. no one know this, and she hoped no one ever would.

"Mom, I'm going outside," I call.

"Okay, be careful, remember it's hunting season," my mom calls back. I run outside, I run far enough away no one saw me, and I shifted into a human. I walked to a tree that I've always loved to climb. I climb up the tree and wait.

"hey, you having fun up there?" hear someone call, from below. It's my friend best friend, Eo.

"You betcha!" I laugh a little, "why don't you join me?" I joke around.

"You know I can't." Eo says, she is frightened of heights

"K, I'll be down in a sec." I say taking one last glance at the beautiful sky. I start climbing down.

"Careful!" Eo yells as I slip. I catch myself and keep climbing down.

I'm finally down, "what do you want to do?" I ask.

"Umm, I don't know. How about hide-n-seek?"

"Okay, you count first," she starts counting and I hide behind a tree and change into a wolf pup. I go right behind her and wait till she's done counting.

"46....47.....48.....49.....50! Ready or not here I...." she looks down and sees me. "Awe what a cute puppy, where's your mom? Do you want to stick with me?" she asks. I yip. "K, let's go find my friend." she smiles and walks off. Her long red hair swooshes around, and I follow.

About ten minutes I run off and change back to human and wait.

"Shishka! where are you?" She calls, she's close. I pop out and scare her. She screams, "Shishka! don't do that!" she says and I start laughing and give her a big hug.

"What are you doing this summer?" she asks. "you know it starts tomorrow. I can't wait."

"Most likely doing nothing but hanging out with you and hunting." I say sounding bored.

"You're lucky you get to hunt, wish I could." she says. If she knew how I did it, and the dangers of it, she wouldn't want to anymore, but I'm not going to ruin her fun in wanting to.

"Well it's getting late I should go," Eo says.

"Good idea, same here." she starts walking off, I go the other direction. I look back and I don't see her, I hide behind a tree just in case and change back to a wolf and run home.
