I get to the cave I call home, at last. "Mom, I'm back." I call out. I go to my corner of the cave and start thinking about life.

'Would it be safe to tell others about what I can do? I shouldn't risk it, if I tell the humans they will test me and dissect me, if I tell my pack they will kick me out of the pack and possibly kill me. I guess I just got to keep it to myself.'

"Shishka, hello, earth to Shishka!" my mom says.

"Sorry, what do you need?" I ask being snapped out of thought.

"I'm going to go hunt for dinner, want to come with me?" My mom asks.

"Yeah, I could get out." I say.

We run off and find some rabbits, I catch one. We keep looking for more food. We run into a deer family, my mom catches the mom I catch 2 kids. The dad almost killed us, I got a gash from his antler on my side. I'll be fine.

We walk back to the den, my cut was really stinging, I noticed my mom limping. I didn't see any blood or scratches, she must have sprained it or broke it, the deer must have hit her with his antler. This isn't the first time we got injured while hunting. Once my dad got shot by a hunter, he wasn't being carful enough I guess. Wish I could see him at least one more time and say sorry.

Enough sad stories, we get to the cave and start eating, I notice my mom is no longer walking on her front left leg, it must be broken. I ignore it and keep eating. I secretly put ear buds in and listen to music. Then I go sleep in my corner.

'"Shishka! What happened to your side?" Eo asks.

"Oh nothing, just ran into a tree," I lie, "stupid me, not watching where I'm going," I laugh.

"You need help, have you seen it?" She seems worried. I look down at my side, it is pretty deep.

"I'll be fine, what do you want to do?" I ask trying to change the subject.

"Just follow me," she says and runs off. I follow, hoping she not doing what I think she's doing. We run up to a hospital, people are already waiting outside for me.

I try to run, but they already got me, I can't shape shift or they will want to dissect me. I can't get away. they will find out that I can shape shift and experiment on me. I'm freaking out. I'm struggling, throwing myself to the ground tossing back and forth. I loss hope and give up, they take me into a room and look at my wound.'

I wake up suddenly. Thank goodness that was just a dream. I know Eo would never do that to me, I mean I never make her go on high spots no mater how much I love them.

I just realized my cut is really stinging. I look at it, it's really deep.

Well it's morning. I shake off the pain and start cleaning myself and head off and do pack chores.
