Chapter Six-

The Date

Day-
Saturday

Today was my first date with Taro! I can't wait. He said to wear something casual, so I wore black leggings, a light purple hoodie and matching converses. Too casual?

Maybe.

But it brings out my eyes so much more. To finish the look off, I added eye liner and eyeshadow that apparently makes my eyes pop.

I skipped down the stairs towards my kitchen. Everyone seemed to have gone out somewhere. Not that it bothers me or anything, I'm used to it.

I grabbed some bread and put it into the toaster. Meanwhile, I leaned over the oak counters and sighed, deep in thought.

Soon, the toast popped out, making me jump a little. Chuckling to myself, I grabbed it and chewed on it as I made my way towards the living room.

My living room had very vibrant colours. Oranges, yellows, greens, you name it, it's here.

I sat on the sofa and grabbed the small remote sitting next to me. Putting my feet onto the green rug, I sighed and relaxed finally.

That's when the doorbell decided to go off. Well, someone was using the doorbell obviously. I sighed and made my way towards it, putting the toast onto the table in the kitchen.

"Hello?" I asked, as I opened the front door. In front of me stood a very anxious and nervous Taro. "Oka?" He asked me gently. "Ready for our date?"

I stood there in shock, probably looking like a fish in shock. When life began to finally come back to me, I nodded gently and walked outside with him.

We walked together down the road in comfortable silence. Both deep in thought.

That's when I felt his warm and soft hand grab mine. I don't think he noticed though, as he looked deep in thought.

I squeezed it gently making him finally take notice of my hand. The tip of his ears went a little red along with his face yet he never let go of my hand.

I was once again in deep thought, before Taro came to an abrupt stop, making me slightly trip.  However, he quickly caught me.

I smiled at him and looked at the sign above me. It said "The Cherry Park". Such an original name, I know. But the thing that makes this park special, is the amount of blossoming Cherry trees located one after each other.

I squealed on the inside, thinking of how thoughtful Taro was.

He pulled me through the gate, me giggling lightly. It was still quite early, however the sun seemed to be trying to over heat us already.

Taro, being the gentleman he was, went to buy us ice cream as I sat down on the bench. I looked around and saw all those children running around laughing, their parents laughing at them.

I wish my life was as carefree as it was back then. Now that we all have grown up, it's different. Taro sat down next to me, and handed me vanilla ice cream.

I smiled at him and licked it. He looked at me with a thoughtful face, before quickly licking my ice cream. I couldn't help but laugh as there was a bit of ice cream left over on his nose.

Taro looked at me sheepishly before grabbing his ice cream and launching it at my nose. He then began laughing his butt off. Oh the nerve. Before I knew it, he grabbed my hand and led me to a park on the otherside.

Pulling me onto the swing, he began to push me, making me freak out. "T-Taro.." I yelped, "D-Don't make me fall off!"

He chuckled and swung me higher, making me quickly shut my eyes. I heard Taro call to me to open my eyes, so I did. Hesitantly so.

The view was gorgeous. There was a lake In the middle of the park with small ducks in it. How did I manage to miss something like that!?

I was speechless and was delighted on how fresh the air seemed to be up here.

Before I knew it, a few hours seemed to fly by and Taro was now walking me home.

Once I got to the door,I noticed my "parents" weren't home still. Opening the door, I paused. Taro was slowly walking back down the steps towards my gate.

This was my chance.

I ran up to him and grabbed his shoulder. "What are y--!?" He was stopped by me shoving his face into mine. Well, lips.

It took a while, but he finally began to respond, pulling me slightly closer.

Before anything else happened, I pulled away and ran into my home. The biggest smile I could muster was plastered on my face as I ran to my bedroom.

Taking off my clothes and putting my pjs on. I couldn't help but think about how someone as bad as me ended up with someone as handsome and charming.

With that thought, I pulled the covers over me in my bed and fell asleep quickly.
