Richelle's POV

Today is the second day at school. I walked in with Summer and wished her a good day. I walked in and went to my locker. This girl with long brown hair and olive skin was at the locker next to mine. I smiled at her and she smiled back. "Hey I'm Sarah." She said with a quiet voice. "I'm Rochelle. I'm new here." She nodded and opened her locker. "Looks like we are locker neighbours." She said a little excitedly. "Hey are you doing anything at lunch?" She asked and I shook my head. "No why?" She smiled and physically started bouncing. "Well my friend and I are setting up for the school dance and we need some more help." I liked the idea of setting up the school dance. It will help me make new friends. "Sure I would love to help." She thanked me and ran off to her other friend. I was kind of excited to hang out with Sarah. When it was lunch I walked into the hall to help. I have no clue why Sarah asked me because their had to be at least a quarter of the school in here. Sarah came up to greet me and introduced me to her friend. He was a tall boy with blonde hair. "Hi I'm Richelle." I say politely to him. "I'm Jordan." He smiled at me. "Hey Jordan can you go get the ladder, the sign is crooked." Sarah said to him and he started to walk away. "No wait I got this." I stopped him and he turned around. I looked up at the crooked sign hanging from the ceiling. I could easily fix that. "Give me a lift." I say quickly while figuring out the best angle to go from. "What?! No I'll just get a ladder." He protested but I gave him a look that shut him up. "No seriously just lift me up and I will fix it." He wanted to argue but didn't. "Are you sure Richelle?" Sarah asked me with concern and I nodded. "Ok ready?" I asked Jordan and he muttered. "No." I took that as a yes and ran towards him. He cupped his hands which I stepped in. He then threw me up towards the roof. I pulled the sign down so it was equal. I did a front flip and landed perfectly on my feet. Everyone, who was apparently watching me, stood there with their mouths agape. Sarah walked over to me with her eyes widened in shock. "That. Was. Awesome." She said. I chuckled at her. "I may or may not have done Gymnastics since I was three." She laughed along with me. In the distance I heard someone say show off and storm away. "Who was that?" I asked Sarah and she rolled her eyes. "That's Reneé. Don't get on her bad side." She warned me but I turned to her. "I think I already have."
