After saving Kalos and restoring all the damage from the epic battle that happened recently. He was visiting Anistar before he left since this was the city that was start and could have been the end to everything.It was peaceful and cold, a beautiful city to clear his mind and unwind.
Ash couldn't help but feel a weight on his chest. After all he was going back to Pallet town to see his mother. Everyone was going different ways, sadly it happened all so quickly. Serena was going to Hoenn to participate in Pokemon Contests, Clemont and Bonnie had a gym to mange, Alain and Mairin went with Professor Scyamore to do research, but what was causing the most heart ache was that Steven was leaving so soon.
Ash grew quite fond of the latter. The man was such a gentleman who remained calm in any situation. He met Steven before in Granite Cave he remembered the burning sensation he felt when he saw Steven fight.He still feels that sensation but now to add to the heat the man made him feel fluttery on the inside. To become a trainer as Steven was a dream to never come true. "Ash?" Steven's silk voice called out, his breath came out white but his smile remand warm. "Steven! What are you doing in Anistar city?" Ash said turning to face the latter who looked up at the marvelous crystal. "I wanted to see this beauty before I headed back to Hoenn" he touched the transparent pink crystal that was surprisingly warm "you're heading back so soon?" Ash asked hearing such a delightful chuckle escape from Steven's lips "well Ash I am a Champion. Champions have to help save the world it's my job also I do have a job back in Hoenn as its Champion....I also want to make sure my region is safe" Steven glanced at Ash who continued to smile at him.
The light around them was pink due to the light reflecting through the crystal. "That's why I admire you. I want to become like you one day!" He said catching Steven off guard a bit, he never knew he influenced Ash this much. "No stone can be the same. Even if they consist of the same material or belong in the same category every atone is unique . Which is a good thing to be special. I don't want to see someone as great as you stall to grow, I want you to become a crystal that will grow and become even better than before. And of course your beauty will go up with it" Steven said seeing Ash's lighting bolt cheeks were turning to a shade of
pink that matched the light.
"Well Steven I-", "ah who's this?" Steven questioned peering down his leg to see Pikachu rubbing against it "ahh Pikachu! You'll get fur on Steven's suit" Ash exclaimed trying to grab his companion who remained cuddling with Steven "hm it's alright. I admire Pikachu so much. To have such a strong bond with you must be a blessing. I could only wish to have such a bond with you" Steven said while picking up the cute yellow pokemon who squealed in delight. Ash couldn't help but stare at the man who managed to capture Pikachu's heart as well "Hehe I think Pikachu wants to have a bond with you as well. Isn't that right buddy?" He scratched behind the fluffy ears that rubbed back into Ash's hand.
Pikachu returned back to Ash to nuzzle against his trainer "hm I would like that as well" Steven smiled giving the pokemon one last scratch to look back up at the crystal. "So did you have a reason coming here as well Ash?" Steven asked looking into the vast land across the river "I thought it was a good place to stop by before I leave since it marked where we saved the world, fighting along side you and everyone...was a memory that I'll treasure forever" Ash clutched his shirt above his heart "I to will treasure this. I'll even treasure this moment we share together right now" Steven closed his eyes only to imagine how flush the younger must be.
"I'll treasure this to...but you know when I leave here I'll still feel a stone weighing down my heart" Ash confessed feeling Pikachu left his shoulder to run around "what weight? Ah did you perhaps fell in love with Serena?" Steven teased smoothly.
He was already aware of the younger's affection towards him but of course for Ash to grow he will have the courage to confess, he grew an attraction to the younger male as well. "Uh what?- No no no! I don't like her like that...It's someone else" he muttered the last few words and felt more embarrassed hearing Steven chuckle.
"You're leaving quite soon and I'm sure that person will also have the burden of a stone on their heart as well if you didn't tell them" Steven said looking at Ash who's eyes seemed to sparkle suddenly "If I confess then what would they say back or do back? If I confess wouldn't hurt if they shared the same feeling but we we're separating different ways. What if-" Ash was startled when Steven took off his coat and wrapped it around him.
"Then that person should promise to see you again shouldn't they ?" He looked down at the sparkling pools of brown orbs that reflected his own. "Then Steven you promise that we'll see each other again?" Ash said only feeling the warm breath that hit his face "I promise Ash" he smiled.
"You want to know what else I admire about you?" Ash said seeing Steven raise his brow slightly along with a smile that could be appreciated this close. "What is it?" Steven asked moving the bangs out of the younger's face to see such a radiant smile appear on his tan lips.
"How you're able to stay calm no matter the situation" Ash said but heard Steven chuckle again. He grabbed for Ash's hand and placed it above his heart to feel the rapid thumbing against his hand "does that feel calm to you?".
