Ash returned to Cameran Palace, he was summoned there since the Queen mentioned that a huge ray of light came from the tree of life. Scared that someone or something was disturbing it. "Oh thank goodness Ash you're here! We need to insure the safety of our citizens so we had to postponed the competition and dance" a maid said in a rush. "I'll head to the Tree of Life right now! Noivern! Let's go!" Ash summoned his dragon companion who waited for his trainer to mount on him. "I'll return as soon as possible!" Ash said with Pikachu replying with him before they started soaring into the sky.

"Hmm it's sure been awhile right buddy? The tree of life...I wonder if Xerneas is related to it?" Ash questioned hearing Pikachu make a confused sound. Of course Mew should be doing fine and now that they're dropping from the sky it should be easier than going through the cave. By nightfall they reached the tree. It should of taken a couple of days but Noivern was a fast Pokemon to begin with. "Mew mew mew" Mew appeared in front of them and was excited to see them. "Mew is everything ok?" Ash asked with Pikachu repeating in his voice. "Mew mew? Mew" Mew swirled around them before floating off into a bush. "Wait!" Ash called out returning Noivern and followed after Mew. When he pushed through all the branches and leaves he was surprised to see another human taking a bath in the waterfall.

The thick mist around the water made it difficult to see the man but his hair wasn't tamed at all and he sensed Ash without turning around. Ash took off his back pack on the ground since Mew was tugging at it. "So you're Ash? Lucario has told me about you" the stranger said looking over his shoulder to see the boy looked amazed. "Wait Lucario? He's back?!" Ash said looking everywhere for a glimpse of the familiar pokémon. "He is sleeping right now but he'll come when he has awakened " the man said getting out the water. The mist continued to cover the stranger. Ash waited for him to come out but no one did. "You have alot of aura" the stranger popped up suddenly causing Ash to jump and fall into the water. "Hey what's the big idea popping out of nowhere-" Ash stopped as he looked up at the man.

He couldn't believe it. It was Sir Aaron. The painting in the palace matched him perfectly. "Sir Aaron?" Ash questioned taking the hand that offered to help him up. Aaron smiled softly at the boy who looked so surprised to see him. "I know....I never thought I would be able to see the blue skies again. To breath in the fresh air. And to see a another person who knew how to control aura" Aaron said laughing since Ash went bug eyed. "Oh Arceus! You have to see the Queen!" Ash exclaimed grabbing Aaron's wrist but the man didn't budge. "I can't I must remain here. I can never leave the Tree of Life. If I leave then the tree will die. Me and Lucario are the main roots of the tree" Aaron said feeling Ash let go of his wrist. "Oh...but how come Mew can leave?" Ash questioned seeing Mew chase Pikachu. "Yes Mew is somehow related to the tree. But he isn't bond to it like me. He's like the pollen and I'm a root. He can leave and travel but I'm bond here" Aaron frowned sitting down on the grass. "I wonder how the world changed..." he said looking up at the sky. "Uhhh we have technology now" Ash said not knowing where to begin "what's that?" Aaron asked seeing the boy sit next to him and pulled out his Pokedex from his back pack.

He tapped it and a hologram of a Pikachu appeared. "Woah..." Aaron was amazed and poked the hologram to only have his finger go through it. "Such sorcery..." he said as Ash swiped through his pokedex. Ash looked at the man who was fascinated by the new Pokemon he never had seen before. All of a sudden Ash's stomach growled. "Good thing I bought food" Ash said digging into the bag to pull out a bar of chocolate. "Wait...is that chocolate?" Aaron asked seeing the boy unwrap it "it sure is! Would you like some?" Ash asked as the man smiled nodded. He gave the man a bigger proportion than his since he knew the man was probably hungry as well. Aaron took a bite out of it and smiled happily "good as I remember...Lucario must want some to" he said savoring the sweetness. "Then he can have my share as well" Ash willingly gave Aaron his half "oh he can share with me. You should eat to" Aaron said but Ash insisted that he take it. Soon Lucario woke up and greeted Ash happily the two tearing up in the process."Hey Lucario!" Ash said hugging the pokemon who hugged back "so you have met sir Aaron?" The pokemon asked and smiled when Ash nodded. The three of them chatted happily.

While Pikachu and Mew continued to chase each other around but tripped over a weird flower. The weird flower shattered as if it was glass. And everything seemed to pause. The wind no longer blew and the water no longer ran. "What happened?" Ash asked looking around to see the broken flower spread on the ground "oh no we. broke a time flower" Aaron said picking up the fragments. "How do we turn it back?" Ash asked but Aaron and Lucario shrugged. Soon the matter turned more complexed. Ash couldn't leave the tree.  Because when the flower broke it held time and everything that was in its reach.

Days soon passed by and it was hard to keep track of how many did pass since his watch remained at the same time and he couldn't make Mark's in the ground. Finally Ash broke down "What am I suppose to do?" Ash asked sitting in the grass and looked at his reflection in the forever still water. Aaron sat next to him. "Will I be stuck here forever? Will people worry about my disappearance? My mom...my friends they're all out there living and growing older while I'm here...staying the same..." Ash said with tears coming to his eyes "I felt the same you know? I thought about how I'm bond to this tree...to never explore the new world ever again...I wonder if the Queen is safe...I want to know if my friends succeed their dreams and died peaceful. After I become a root of the tree I could only see as far as my roots would grow. But to see is different from feeling. I haven't felt the warmth of another human in centuries" Aaron said rubbing Ash's back. "But now we're together and I'll stay the same just as you. I'll be here to keep you company in this boxed
realm for entirety" The older hugged the younger who cried in his chest. "I'm sorry you've must have been alone for so long..." Ash said but Aaron just continued patting his back.

Mew looked at them sadly and remembered something he collected years ago. After digging through the pile he finally found a scroll and placed it in front of Aaron and Ash. "What's this?" Aaron asked opening the scroll. He read out loud. "To resume the pause in time one must create a memory to remember and change the view of the other. Only then will the time resume to the new atmosphere they share" he read and looked at Mew in confusion. Ash continued to reread the riddle over and over again. Aaron thought about it but then it clicked. "We have to change the way we feel" he said making Ash look at him "when the flower broke it consumed everything we have done and felt" Aaron said confusing Ash. "But I just cried so wouldn't that count as a change of feel?" Ash questioned leaving Aaron to think again. "Actually you and Lucario cried. We were happy. You were angry when you fell into the water. Surprised when you saw me and confused when you arrived so basically we felt everything" Aaron said with his fingers holding his chin to think.

do you have more hints?" Ash asked but Mew shook his head. "Ahhh what are we going to do all this is confusing stuff!" He exclaimed. Then the thought hit Aaron "Ash" he called. Ash turned to see Aaron close to his face. "I love you" Aaron said before closing his eyes and kissed the boy. Ash kept his eyes open but saw the sky turn to day to night rapidly until it stopped at night fall. Aaron removed his lips and looked at the sky. The wind blew again and the water ran again. "The time is fixed..." Aaron said looking at Ash who was dazed. "Sorry but the only thing I could of thought of that none of us felt was love" Aaron smiled. "Oh yeah right....how long have I've been away?" Ash asked checking his watch to see a month passed. "Good only a month passed..." Ash said and noticed a time flower bloomed.

Aaron knelt down and tapped the flower that opened and replayed the memory. "I love you" Aaron's holographic self said kissing Ash. "Well this is a keeper" Aaron laughed while Ash just continued to blush. "I have to go back now..." he brought up seeing Aaron nod and smile. "I know" Aaron said seeing Ash bit his lip "won't you be lonely?" Ash asked. Aaron nodded "but when I do feel lonely I'll replay the moment over and over again, and I also have Lucario and Mew with me" Aaron said but felt Ash hug him "I'm really sorry..." Ash said and this time Aaron smiled but tears quickly soon flowed.

To have know someone for only a month that felt like forever...to having that person leave suddenly really does make everything seem different.
