Wipe Out

I kept my eyes closed and my body relaxed.

Was it my dad? Had my parents come home to find Alex, Austin, and I on the floor of the living room, so dad carried me to my room? Or was it....

Austin?

I carefully took a deep breath, taking in the scent of the person carrying me.

I was awake enough to know it was Austin.

Why was Austin carrying me up to my room?

Why wasn't it Alex?

Why didn't either of them just wake me up?

I heard Austin open my bedroom door with his foot, and he quietly entered my room.

He balances me on his leg and one arm, while his free hand pulled back the covers on my bed.

He laid me gently down and covered me with my blanket.

"Sweet dreams," He whispered, then left, closing my door behind him.

I slightly opened my eyes, but they quickly closed.

I had a million questions rushing through my mind, but I was to tired to register any of them.

The last thing I thought was that I would think about it in the morning, and with that I fell asleep.

That morning I got up later than I usually do, so I just went straight to the bathroom and took a quick shower.

I decided that it would be a lazy day so after my shower I changed into a form fitting black T-shirt with the batman logo, washed out grey jeans, and a pair of black ankle socks.

I left my long chestnut brown hair with natural caramel highlights down.

I ran my fingers through it, untangling it.

I brushed my teeth, then headed downstairs while looking at my phone.

I was about to push the 'post' on Twitter when I ran into someone.

I looked up to find dad.

"Morning dad," I said kissing his cheek.

"Its the afternoon, Riley," He said smiling.

I laughed.

"Well its my morning," I said.

He laughed and went upstairs.

I went to the kitchen to find something to eat.

I decided on a fruit salad.

It wasn't much, but I could never eat much when I first wake up, I get a stomachache when I do.

I sat down on the counter, eating my fruit salad-apple pieces, fresh pineapple, strawberries, banana, and grapes-and still checking everything I missed on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

I didn't notice that someone had walked into the kitchen until they opened the fridge.

I looked up to see Austin, still in his pajamas.

"Isn't someone lazy today?" I asked smiling.

He looked over his shoulder at me.

"At least I woke up before noon," He said.

I kicked his leg playfully.

"I had a long week at school. I think I deserve to sleep in," I argued.

He laughed.

"Thanks," I said.

"Why are you thanking me?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
