Chapter 26

I could clearly see that mom was very very happy to see my dad I mean who wouldn't be right ? He was coming back after 5 years . The only thing that mom didn't know that he was going back after a month. He had only got a leave for a month and he had told this thing only to me . I didn't want to tell mum this because I knew she would've got upset and I didn't want that so I thought it would be better to keep a secret for now . Mom was in the kitchen almost an hour making something . What was she making I mean it's obvious she must be making something special and something that my dad loves . So I didn't go in the kitchen to ask her .

Me and dad were sitting on the couch watching TV . Suddenly I heard the door bell ring . I got up to see who was it . Before opening I checked through the peep hole but I couldn't see anything some one was covering the hole with his/her hand . So I opened the door to find Moose standing there with a box .

It wasn't just any box it was the box of chocolates that dad had brought for me today . I was just standing there with my mouth open like what was this idiot doing here . He just stood there tasting all the chocolates . OK this was just idiotic and stupid what does he want and so I asked " what are you doing here?" . He didn't ans instead he pushed me entering the house . I just stood there like what happened . I turned around with my jaw dropped as if what is he doing . What I saw was just no expected my dad was standing with wide eyes and jaw dropped and Moose had the same reaction .

Both of them were staring at each other . The next thing you know they were screaming and jumping up and down and they hugged each other as if they were childhood friends and hadn't met each other for like ages. Which was kinda the situation bit never mind . Both them had gone bonkers they were stuck to each other like glue and were jumping up and down . I just stood there with my arms crossed like what were they doing . I just rolled my eyes and went back and sat down on the couch .

After sometime they stopped jumping around and both of them sat beside me . Which was unusual both of them had a smirk . I got to know they were planning something evil . The next thing you know both of them are hugging as if taking out the life out of me . I couldn't breathe I needed help . MOM ! someone help me please and when I couldn't handle it anymore I started shouting " Mom !!!! Help me !!! These guys have gone mad" I thought they would let go of me but no they just laughed and hugged me tighter.

Mom came running out from the kitchen with a spatula in her hand . But when she saw what was going on she just chuckled and went inside the kitchen again . What is wrong with evryone today ?! I somehow got my out of that place I got up and ran in the kitchen . When I entered the kitchen I saw mom was making dad's favourite recipe which I hated personally . So I complained " Mom can you make something else for me please?" But mom just shook her head with a No in response .

I pleaded her but her ans was still a big NO . So I decided to make something else for my self later on . I was about to leave the kitchen but then I remembered my dad n Moose were still sitting outside . So I walked out with caution with a wooden spatula in my hand. But then later nothing happened no jumping and no hugging was going on instead both of them were sitting quietly on the couch sincerely watching TV . I eased down a little and kept the spatula on the table . As soon as I kept the spatula down both of them got up with cruel smiles on their faces and came running towards me and jumped on me hugging me again . Three of us were now lying on the floor but this time instead of getting irritated or angry I was just laughing with them . It was good to have dad here . Now everything was just so much less drama .

Moose had stayed over for dinner . Actually Moose was loving the food n dad was obviously loving it . I was the only one left to eat . I was starving so I decided to make something for myself . I got up and walked to the kitchen . But as soon as I reached . I didn't know what to make . Wait the biggest question was how to make . OK so I didn't know how to cook . I used to cook when I was like young but now I had forgotten evrythin. But still I thought about giving it a shot .
So I thought of making lasagna ( is the spelling correct whatever you get it right) . So let's get started .
