I Live For You

Chapter 21
My room door opened and mum entered with a tray . I could smell hot chocolate and waffles. I think that's what she brought in the tray. I had called her and told her to come a little early because I really needed mom right now. I had cried and cried and now I was just tired of crying and so I was just lying on my carpeted floor making up beats until mom brought the hot chocolate. She came and sat against the bed on the floor.

I knew what she was gonna ask me to do she would obviously ask me to get and and drink up the amazing hot chocolate with Nutella filled waffles. OK now I'm hungry so I got up and sat beside her with the cup in my hand. I knew why she had brought all of these stuff because she obviously now wanted to talk to me and you know do the mother talking . So I didn't even try to stop her.

She started off "Mel so far you told me your story I get it it's hard to see ur crush with someone else and I know right now all of this boyfriend stuff might seem very important right now . But darling it's not that important I want that old Mel back who used to just study and hang out with her best friend . It's not like Moose had forgotten you." How could I tell mom that I couldn't go back to be the old Mel because the truth was that Moose had forgotten me. But there was no use to argue with mum so I just nodded my head in approval.

She smiled and told me to come down for dinner. I tied my hair in a high Pony and walked down the stairs. I could smell chicken which smelt amazing. I was about to sit on the counter when the door bell rang. So I headed towards the door and strangely I was very curious to open that door and get to know who was it at this time . As soon as I opened the door there he was Moose standing in his hoodie. He looked up and smiled and pushed past me as he was freezing outside . Where as for me I was still standing there holding the door looking outside . I felt a shake on my shoulder It was like I was in a trance and now it was broken. I turned around to find Moose asking for a hug.

I would have hugged him but how could I hug him so I just smiled and pushed past him and went and sat on the counter table. Moose came and sat beside totally puzzled and confused must be wondering why was I acting so weird.

Mum saw Moose and got so happy that she almost dropped the plate from her hand but I catched it. She came over enthusiastically and gave him a bone crushing hug obviously could see the pain on Moose's face but I didn't laugh even though it was a little funny I just started serving myself with some food .

I had already started eating while mom and Moose were having there talk . When mum was over with asking Moose the list of questions she came over with Moose . She saw me eating and asked "Mel look isn't it so nice to see him back?" Asked mom enthusiastically I just replied with a nod not even looking up to see her reaction . I was just playing with my food to which Moose said "you shouldn't be playing with food B table manners" obviously he said it in a humorous way but I was just not in the mood right now and so to that I replied "oh please it's my food my wish whatever I want 2 do with it" .

I could feel the tension built in mom obviously because of my behaviour and so to change the topic she said "uh darling why don't you sit down huh" I was still busy in playing with my food. "Mel why haven't you served food to Moose?" Asked my mom ok I couldn't stand it anymore and this time I looked up at my mom and said "who said he is here for dinner?"

That's when mom said "Mel ! What is wrong with you stop ascrnf like this" Moose stood up as I stood up from the counter . I took his hand and pushed him out of the front door and slammed the door on his face. I could see his face but I just couldn't let him .

All he said was "call me whenever you want to talk" and all I could do was cry standing there.
