Chapter 8
I looked into those eyes full of love, understanding , and care. How could I not return these feelings when, I have them inside of me. I do love him, and I can't hide that anymore. He has to know the truth. We walked out the door hand in had towards his car, and rode in silence all the way to the restaurant.
We arrived there and he got out and opened my door, holding my hand gently in his own. Thoughtlessly caressing the back of my hand with his thumb causing fiery tingles all the way to my heart. A waiter seated us all the way in the back with only one table. He pulled my chair out for me and looked at me with those feelings in his eyes as before but, twice as prominent. I knew I felt these things too and I knew they were showing on my face as well. And, before I knew it the three words that can never be taken back came out of my mouth.
"I love you," I said without realizing I had even said it out loud. The only reason I figured it out was the way his smile grew. It looked as if he smiled anymore, his jaw would break. I couldn't help but look down at my shoes and cheeks flush in embarrassment. He pulled both of my hands in to his.
Then he spoke , what I will never forget, breaking the silence. "I love you too. Rebecca, I love you, I cherish you, and I want you for the rest of my forever. Will you marry me?" he asked kneeling on the floor of the restaurant.
