Maya looked over two beds and she had no idea what she was looking at until she saw an older version of me....
Maya thought Wait..... What?????
The only person that looked like Catherine was her Mom and Aunt.
Maya walked over to the hospital room next to where Catherine was seeing an all too familiar face.
Their was a white board and the name on it read, Sondrisa Delaney. Maya realized that it was Catherine's mom who abandoned her.
Catherine's mom had been hooked up to a machine and looked in bad condition but she was awake. She looked up from the book she was reading. She didn't know who Maya was, so she was confused.
Maya didn't know what to say she wamted to scream at this lady; but at the same time hug her and tell her what happened to her daughter.
Maya introduced herself to Sondrisa
Maya: Hello I'm Maya
Sondrisa: Um hello... Who are you?
Maya: Do you know Catherine Vanure?
Sondrisa: Maya don't be afraid of me I remember who you are. Sorry dear it took me a minute. Catherine Vanure is my daughter. Why?
Maya: Okay. It's a long story.
Sondrisa: Is she okay ? What happened ?
Maya: Let's say a bunch of girls Jenna, Brittany, and Kimberly have been psychically hurting your daughter by punching her, pushing her into walls, and picking every one of her deepest parts out of her. Over the past week it was worse. Cat told me that she had been a situation with her Ex Samuel he was yelling at her and hitting her.
The three girls got a petition signed by half of the school, to get all of the "weirdos" removed from the school. Thoes girls torchured Cat, I had no idea the pain these girls inflicted unril sje ended up in the hospital. Brittany then found your daughters address; she wanted revenge on Catherine for taking Samuel from her. Later she started getting hate mail from students telling her to never show her face as she was a disgrace to humankind.
That night Brittany came and physically assulted. The police sat there was no forced entry but there were traces of fentynal in her drink that was in the house. Britanny
thrashed her head into the concrete ouside where the paramedics found her unconscious.
Catherine suffered from a concussion and she has lost her memory and had severe trauma to her brain. She was awake and talking last week. Monday this week she had a small brain bleed. She never regained consciousness after the surgery and she's been out ever since.
*Sondrisa crying*
Sondrisa: My poor daughter, is she okay???
Maya: Not really. The doctors say the trauma to her brain may have been too extensive. It's possible she won't wake up.
Sondrisa: What!!!!!! My poor girl. I never should have left her.
Maya: Do you want to see her???
Sondrisa: Um.. I suppose
*Sondrisa walked in the doorway to the room*
Sondrisa asks Maya to leave.
Sondrisa looked like she was crying and shaking. In disbelief that her daughter was most likely gone.
Pulling up a chair next to the bed
Sondrisa: My sweet girl you are loved by so many, and you have fought so hard to push through. I am so deeply sorry I left you all those years ago. I didn't know you in this lifetime but from what I can assume you lit up the room, you made everyone smile even when you were struggling. I love you precious.
Sondrisa kissed Catherine on her head walking slowly out of the room teary eye'd.
1 week later
The decision was made by Maya's family to remove Catherine from the ventilation system that was breathing for her. They were the closest thing she had known to parents. The doctors had deemed her brain dead. No brain activity and the trauma presented to damaging.
Later that day the news ws broken and many people can to the hospital.
