Two weeks later
5:20 am Melody started crying.
Brittany got up to feed Melody and change her diaper.
Samuel woke up and helped get the food and put Melody in new clothes. After that Brittany put her back to sleep. They all went back to sleep.
Samuel saw his phone light up. It was a text from Catherine
Catherine: Hey Sam I haven't heard from you in 2 weeks. I miss you. Call me when you want to talk.
Samuel walks out of the room and calls Catherine
Catherine: Hey. Your alive. How's your daughter.
Samuel: Amazing. Brittany is amazing too. I can't come over tonight but I will try in the morning. All we are going to do is talk.
Catherine: Oh. Okay Samuel see you tomorrow
Samuel walks in the bedroom and falls asleep.
The next morning
Samuel wakes up and eats some cereal and leaves a note to Brittany saying " had to go to work something urgent came up. Love you. "
Samuel drove to Catherine's.
Catherine climbed in the car and they drove to the beach.
Samuel: Catherine I know what you want but I need to do what's best for my kid and that means being with Brittany. Melody can't grow up without a dad. I know you love me but we can't see each other again.
Catherine: Samuel I understand but please don't leave me again. I can't help but think of you everyday. I love you no matter what. I will respect what you want. But one more thing
Samule: Okay and that Is?
Catherine: Just one last goodbye kiss please.
Samuel: Okay
Samuel leaned in and held Catherine's face and kissed back and forth. Catherine pressed her head to his. They kissed and kissed. Samuel pulled back and sweeped Catherine's hair, looked in her eyes and smiled and kissed her one more time.
Samuel went back to the apartment after work Brittany and Melody were eating dinner , Melody in her highchair eating baby food.
Brittany kissed Samuel
Samuel talked to Brittany
Samuel: Don't get angry please
Brittany: Okay
Samule: I went to talk to Catherine. I didn't go to work.
Brittnay: WHAT!!!!
Samuel: She just kissed me. It is over. I promise
Brittany: Promise
Samule: Well we hooked up a couple months ago after I found out about the baby
Brittany: I am going to need you to leave
Samule: No. Please. I love you
Brittany: I need to think
Samuel gets down on his knee
Brittany: What are you doing
Brittany will you do the honor of being my wife forever.
Brittany started crying.
Samuel stood up "So"?
Brittany screamed "YES" "YES" "YES"
She kissed Samuel then Melody squealed.
Samuel smiled and Brittany smiled back.
Brittany said "Let's get married tomorrow nothing fancy or big just us and a couple friends"
Samuel arranged everything. Brittany got a dress. Samuel got a tux.
