Kareem"Yeah, I had a good time last night, ma." I said, rolling my eyes.
Xavier was struggling to contain his laughter as he listened to Lexi and I's conversation.
"Yeah, I miss you too." I said into the phone.
"Aight, bye."
I hung up my phone and chuckled as Zay erupted in laughter.
"Shut the fuck up nigga." I smiled.
"Bruh, that bitch clingy as hell."
"We just started going out. She gon' be a lil clingy." I said defensively.
"Qi was never like that. I still had to beg fo her attention when we started goin' out. She know I like the chase."
"Well she ain't like Qi."
He raised his eyebrows and focused on the game of 2K that we were starting.
"One of the reasons I'on like the bitch, I'on eeen know her."
I frowned at that. Zay was like my brother. Everything and every female I did had to be tolerable for him.
"Well meet her then tell me what you think, aight."
"Mmm." He mumbled.
I sighed, already knowing that he made up his mind about her. Instead of dwelling on it I decided to start the game.
We were neck and neck when there was a knock at the door. Xavier and I looked at each other, both too lazy to get up and answer the door.
"You gonna get it?" Xavier asked.
There was another knock and I sucked my teeth. I did live here, might as well open my own door. I walked to the front, making sure to slap Xavier up side the head in the process. He started cussing me out as I opened the door.
"Shut the fuck up nigga!" I yelled playfully over my shoulder.
"I must have the wrong place." A familiar voice said in my doorway.
I looked at the nigga who peered around me to see the details of my home. I pushed him back by his shoulder and mugged him. He straightened out his black button down as he glared at me.
"What the fuck you want?" I interrogated.
"I'm looking for someone, maybe you can help me." He said carefully.
"I doubt they're here, cause I sure as hell don't know you."
"Maybe that's for good reason."
I looked down at this brazen mother fucker like he was crazy.
"I'mma ask you one more time, now answer me like you got sense." I said forcefully. "What the fuck do you want?"
"Yo, who the fuck is that?" Xavier asked coming up behind me.
"Look, I'mma go. It was nice meeting you." He said turning away.
"No!" Qiana yelled frantically.
She stepped in front of us and grabbed his arm. She led him to the living room and offered this bitch nigga a seat. Xavier and I locked eyes and I knew he was thinking my exact thoughts: What the fuck?
"Hi, I'm Qiana!" She said holding out her hand.
He smiled and took it. "You must be Aaliyah's roommate. She told me a lot of interesting things about you."
"Actually I used to be her roommate. I just have the title of best friend now." Qiana laughed.
"Oh. I swear she said she had one." He looked at her, confused.
