Aaliyah

"I wanna take you out again."

I looked up from packing up my journal and computer and looked up at Jerome.

"On a proper date this time." He smiled.

I returned the smile immediately. "I would love to! When?"

We talked out our last conversation and it was explained that his family was a touchy subject for him. However, he did apologize for his response. I did forgive him but I will not forget. That doesn't mean I won't give him a chance.

"This Friday?"

I thought about it.

"I can't."

"Saturday?"

"Uh... Maybe not this weekend."

He furrowed his eyebrows and looked at me intently. "What are you doing."

"It's THE WEEKEND." I sighed. " Qiana, Kareem, Xavier, and I spend the weekend doing what one gender wants at someone's place. It's the girl's turn and at my place."

"As couples?"

"Oh no!" I laughed. "Xavier did it with me to help me cope with my parents' death and it just stuck. Kareem was at Zay's house one month and he just started appearing each time. And Qi used to be my roommate so when they came over, she just chilled with us."

"Could I come?"

I thought about how Kareem and Xavier would take that.

"Kareem and I have a rule about bringing significant others to the house." I sighed, throwing my bag over my shoulder.

His facial expression contorted into a sad one.

"But I could make sure we go somewhere where you could meet us." I offered.

He smiled and nodded. "Just text me the details."

"Alright. I'll see you later."

"Gimme a kiss." He begged, puckering his lips.

I giggled and leaned up to kiss his plump lips.

"Mmm, damn girl." He mumbled against my lips.

"Bye, Jerome." I smiled, leaving the classroom.

I walked out of Loftine School of Medicine and walked toward the parking lot. I sighed when I faced my dented car and reminded myself that I needed to force Kareem to fix it.

I drove straight to Studio 6, knowing that I didn't have time to walk. I walked in and spotted Griselda, who was working on the Midterm dance. I slipped off my sweats and jacket and climbed on the pole next to her's.

"Aye, mamì!"Griselda cat called.

"Shut up." I laughed as I released myself from the music box pose.

I jumped down and looked up at her slightly taller frame.

"Ohmigosh! You are glowin'!" She squealed.

She grabbed my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.

"You been gettin' dat pussy licked?" She whispered.
